If I told you that we’d made most of the food in this post in the microwave, would you believe me? Only the waffles were not :O
We were challenged by Lékué to create a day of meals using their products. We want to show you how easy it is to make Slimming World meals quick and easy!
We’ve used Lékué products for a long time now. We had some of their deco-pens in our kitchen when we had our restaurant, they were so good! Microwave cooking can be healthy, and super handy if you’re in a rush. Combining the science of steam cooking and stylish design, you can make meals in minutes for the whole family to enjoy!
These Syn Free Apple and Cinnamon Waffles are a perfect start to day, and will definitely keep the hunger pangs at bay. They are so quick and easy to prepare, you could make up the mix the night before and cook them in the morning. You could even cook them the day before and reheat them for breakfast. What could be easier?
These waffles will take around 15 – 20 minutes to cook, but if you want them a bit crispier then you can tip them out of the Lékué Waffle Mould onto a tray and cook them for a few more minutes.
Perfect served with a few slices of fresh apple and a squirt of sugar free syrup (but don’t forget to check the syn value!)
Blitz the oats in a food processor, until they are quite fine
Mix all the ingredients together, apart from the apple slices, and stir until smooth
Pour the mixture into the Lékué Waffle Mould
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until the waffles are firm to the touch and golden brown
Turn them out onto a baking tray and cook for a further 4 or 5 minutes
Garnish with the apple slices
You could even serve them with a couple of teaspoons of sugar free syrup - but don't forget to syn it!
Sometimes you just want a quick, simple, easy to prepare lunch. This Syn Free Spanish Omelette fits the bill perfectly.
Now, a traditional Spanish Omelette is generally made with potatoes and onion, but as this is a Slimming World friendly recipe we need to add some extra speed. So, we’ve added some red onion, spring onion, red peppers and mushrooms. You can always serve it with some salad if you want to add even more speed.
Crack the eggs into a bowl, then season. Whisk until the eggs are mixed throughly
Place the remaining ingredients in one half of the Lékué Microwave Omelette Cooker
Pour in the egg mixture then close the omelette cooker
Cook in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds. Turn, then cook for another 30 seconds. Be careful it will be hot!!
Remove from the microwave, open the omelette maker and turn out on to a plate. Be very careful when opening as there will be some steam
Dinner is one of the highlights of my day. Nothing beats a reward after a hard days work. If you’re like me, you want something quick, tasty and pretty low in syns so you can spend the rest of them on chocolate!
We adore Asian flavours, so thought we’d come up with a quick and easy Sweet Chilli Chicken. When I say quick, this was cooked in under 8 minutes in the microwave in a Lékué Steam Case!
Don’t believe how easy it is to make? We even made a little video to prove to you just how easy the Lékué Steam Case is!
We cooked the rice in the Lékué Rice & Grain Cooker, which took our rice cooking time down from 15 minutes in the pan, to 10 minutes in the microwave. No fuss, no mess & perfectly cooked rice at the end. I’ll be cooking all of our rice in this in the future, so much easier to clean than a pan!
