Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 150,000 members 😱) one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.
This week we’ve got lots of new products that are SO looking forward to the weather warming up, and Summer rolling in. I’m excited, are you?
Claudi & Fin Mini Lollies – 1.5 Syns Each
First up we have Claudi & Fin’s new minis! they’re a great source of Vitamin D for strong bones, and taste pretty nice too.
When it comes to Greek Style Frozen Yoghurt Lollies, Claudi & Fin have got it licked!
With 100% natural ingredients, kids are crazy about their delicious, fruity flavour, and there’s no reason why us Slimmers can’t be either!
They’re less than 35kcal per lolly, which makes them just 1.5 Syns each. That makes them the same as a Mini-Milk and I know which one I’d rather have.
You can grab Claudi & Finn Minis from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado. They’re also suitable for vegetarians.
Did you miss out on last week’s new Slimming World shopping essentials?
Mini Chocolate & Orange Hot Cross Buns – 4.5 Syns Each
I must say, I’m elated to see that M&S has yet another Slimmer friendly Mini Hot Cross Bun variety. Last week we featured the M&S Mini Luxury Hot Cross Buns, now it’s the turn of the Chocolate & Orange.
Easter is on its way, and you don’t have to feel you’re missing out on the hot cross bun front.
These Mini Chocolate & Orange Hot Cross Buns join their original counterparts on the shelves in M&S.
They’re £1.89 a pack, and Kayleigh assures me they’re worth every mouthful!
Many thanks to Kayleigh in our Facebook group for the tip!
Kiwi Berries – Syn Free
Kiwi Berries look very much like the original Kiwi fruit from New Zealand. But… they’re not!
However, the Kiwi berry is a fraction of the size – and most are grown on British farms.
Unlike its larger cousin, the Kiwi berry doesn’t have the furry-ness, which means it can be eaten whole and tastes even sweeter than a Kiwi fruit.
They’re about the size of a grape and have been around for a few years now. They’re just coming into season which means you’ll see them in a supermarket near you soon.
They’re especially nice if you’re looking for something new to try. We’re not sure if they’d count as a speed food, as soon as we know we’ll update this.
They’re available in Waitrose at the moment, with other supermarkets bound to follow suit soon.
Galaxy Minis – 3 Syns a bar
Easter is drawing nearer and nearer, and chocolate becomes something even harder to avoid. These Galaxy Minis might just help!
You’ll need to be quick at finding these, as our local B&M had already sold out.
These Galaxy minis are available in B&M in packs of 39 bars and just £4.99 for the whole bag.
You get a variety of bars in the bag; smooth milk, hazelnut, caramel and orange. They work out at 3 Syns a bar.
Rubicon Spring Drinks – Syn Free
Rubicon Spring is a refreshing combination of sparkling spring water and fruit juice.
Apparently, water’s had a fruity fling – and the result was Rubicon Spring.
Packed full of vitamins, it only has 12 calories per bottle! Made with natural flavours and colours. No added sugar.
Rubicon Spring is also available in Orange & Mango, Strawberry & Kiwi and Black Cherry & Raspberry. All of them are Syn free.
They’re available in Asda & a few other supermarkets. What are you waiting for?
Pecorino Cheese – 30g now a HEA
Cheese fans rejoyce! Pecorino cheese is now an A-choice!
In terms of cooking, these are the best cheeses for finishing dishes, as you would use Parmigiano Reggiano.
M&S Strawberry Splits – 3.5 Syns each
I adore this time of year, we start to get all optimistic about the Summer right around the corner.
We’re starting to see a fair amount of Slimming World friendly ice creams, the latest are these Strawberry Splits from M&S.
I don’t know about you but I love Strawberry Splits, and it’s hard to find ones with nice creamy ice cream inside.
I’ve been assured that these are just that and at just 3.5 syns each, they’re a bargain!
Spar Brown Pitta – 1 = HEB
Finding a brown pitta bread that counts as your B-choice is a pretty difficult thing to do.
Luckily, if you have a Spar just around the corner – you’ll be able to pick up a pack of these Brown Pitta breads and enjoy one as your HEB.
They’d be the perfect pairing to have with our Syn Free Chicken Souvlaki, you’d have your very own Syn free chicken kebab.
Asda Raspberry Wheaties &
Yet another new addition to the choice of HEB’s – Asda’s Raspberry Wheaties and Swiss Style, no added sugar Muesli.
If you enjoy a bit of cereal in the morning you’ll be pretty happy to discover that these can now be counted as your HEB!
You can enjoy 45g of these Asda Raspberry Wheaties as your HEB and 40g of the no added sugar Muesli.
They’re both available in Asda now. The Wheaties are priced £1.79 for a 500g box and Muesli is £1.89 for a 1kg bag.
Skinny Lager – 4.5 Syns a bottle
We love a decent bottle of lager, and these are right up our street!
Skinny Lager is the Worlds first ‘Skinny’ Lager, and apparently, what everyone has been waiting for.
Innovated in the UK by SkinnyBrands Ltd and Brewed under licence at Cameron’s Brewery in Hartlepool. It’s a UK product through and through. It’s one of the first lagers to target Slimmers specifically.
Skinny lager is crisp and clean, with a strong and refreshing hoppy depth that outperforms any other Light beer on the market.
Delivering bucket loads of flavour while reducing the residual sugar, it comes in at just 4.5 Syns a bottle.
You can pick up Skinny Lager from Morrisons and over on the Skinnybooze website. Get 10% off when you use the voucher ‘PINCHOFNOM’!
