I love a good sausage, so I was pretty chuffed to be sent these Slimming World friendly The Good Little Company’s Skinny Sausages to review!

What do The Good Little Company’s Skinny Sausages taste like?

I initially cooked these sausages in a frying pan, and I have to say, they were a little disappointing when cooked this way.

The texture was very soft, very similar to chicken sausages and they didn’t have a lot of flavour. That said, they were juicy and weren’t overly herby which I find some low fat sausages can be.

These sausages really improved with a slower cook on a barbecue or in the oven – the skins had more texture this way and the flavour developed and became more meaty.

I cooked them for a large group of friends at a barbecue and they were really surprised that they were low fat!

How many syns are in The Good Little Company’s Skinny Sausages?

Each sausage is 0.5 syns which I felt made them more appealing as you get a lot of sausage for your syns!

What impressed me most was the company who makes them!

Having read up about The Good Little Company, I discovered that they donate 50% of the profit from each pack to two different African project charities, and they’re committed to sustainability and let’s face it, looking after the planet is pretty important!

So, all things considered, I would buy these again.

  2. Hi .Just trting these sausages today .If they are less than 3per cent fat (which is less than mince at 5percent)why do they have a syn value and not syn free ?
    Thanks !

    1. Hi Carole
We can’t answer Syn queries here, I’m afraid. We just don’t have the information.
You’d need to get in touch with Slimming World directly.
Sausages are made using rusk as a filler, which can have an effect on the Syn value.
