You may remember we’ve posted a couple of ideas from Lo-Dough. We’ve had Lo-Dough Party Pizza Swirls, 1.5 Syn Lo-Dough All Day Breakfast Pizza and even a Lo-Dough Christmas Strudel.
Now the team at Lo-Dough have come up with a way you can use it to make burgers as well!
If you count the cheese as your HexA this tasty little number comes in at only 3 Syns and since it uses Lo-Dough you’ll still have your HexB for something tasty at breakfast.
You can order Lo-Dough directly from the Lo-Dough website.
It works best in a sandwich press or a George Foreman grill but can be done in a pan if you hold it together with a spatula while cooking.
The trick is to fold the Lo-Dough over the meat and cheese in a six sided star shape. You then use a knife to hold it all in position while you transfer it to the toaster. Once the lid is down, it keeps together while it cooks and then holds its shape perfectly once toasted.
A perfect way to devour a tasty cheeseburger and keep bang on plan.
Here’s how you assemble your cheeseburger….
For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff in the blurb 👍
Step 1
Take a piece of Lo-Dough.
Step 2
Add 30g of cheese in a 4 inch square in the middle.
Step 3
Add pickle and pre cooked beef patty.
Step 4
Fold in each edge around the filling and hold together on top.
Step 5
Keep working your way around each side.
Step 6
Keep going in the same direction so each fold overlaps the previous one.
Step 7
This should require six folds.
Step 8
It should look like this!
Step 9
Hold it together with a knife and gently lift it into the sandwich press.
Step 10
Still with the knife holding it together close the lid, once the lid is down, slide the knife out and toast for 5 mins.
Step 11
Toast until golden brown.
Step 12
Pop the burger on a plate and turn it over so the cheese is at the top. Cut it in half and top with lettuce, tomato, pickle and a little sprinkle of crispy onion.
