Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 230,000 members 😱 it keeps going up each week!), one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.
Lots of drinks this week, which should keep the kids occupied when they break up for the summer holidays!

Tesco Herbs Selection Pot
Anyone who follows the Slimming World plan knows how important herbs and spices are.
Fresh herbs make such a tasty addition to any recipe and make a nice change from the dried variety.
Herbs can be pretty difficult to grow from seed so these ready to go pots are an absolute winner. No faffing about with compost or the expense of buying loads of different seeds.
These Herb Selection Pots from Tesco combine Mint, Basil and Parsley into one pot, not only saving space, but also saving money!
Keep these watered on a well lit windowsill and they’ll stay fresh for as long as you need them – just tear off what you need!
At £2 a pot, they’re excellent value for money!
I love melons! I eat one every day for breakfast, and did you know that they’re speed food too?
Watermelons can be a little large to fit in the fridge, especially if it’s full of Slimming World fruit and veg!
So thanks to Morrisons and M&S you can now fit a watermelon in your fridge, with these baby watermelons!
They’re a little pricey, considering they’re the price of a full sized watermelon. But, they’ll fit in the fridge!
Lean Corned Beef
So it seems a lot of you are going mad for lean corned beef (I can’t think why…) and have been asking which lean corned beef is best for the 1 Syn Corned beef Pasties.
This is the one! It’s just 1.5 Syns per 100g, which makes it 3 Syns for a 200g tin.
Not bad eh? One word of warning, there is no ring pull on the can (so silly!), so please watch yourself when you open it.
It’s perfect for making these 1 Syn Corned Beef Pasties which use the Weight Watchers White wraps.
If you remember last week, the Weight Watchers Facebook page was telling people that the wraps had been discontinued.
There was an outcry, and even talk of a petition to get them back!
We received official confirmation that they weren’t being discontinued, earlier this week, so fear not.
You can still buy them in selected Asda, Tesco and Morrisons.
Schweppes Slim Line Tonic – 3 pack
If you’re looking for the perfect accompaniment for your gin this weekend then Syn Free Schweppes Slim Line Tonic has got to be one of the best!
This is now available in packs of 3 bottles so you’ll never be caught short again (there is nothing more disappointing than running out of tonic when you want another gin!)
If you’re looking for a different G&T garnish, why not try a slice of orange, fresh ginger or a couple of coriander leaves?
You’d be really surprised how using a slightly unusual garnish can really change the taste and turn a standard G&T into something WOW!
Schweppes Slim Line Tonic 3 pack is available online only from Morrisons, is Syn free and costs £3.51 for 3 bottles.
If you’re a fan of a G&T, check out our 4 Syn Elderflower Gin Fizz cocktail!
Volvic Sugar free Apple and Elderflower
It’s so easy to get bored of drinking water or the same old squashes. This new sugar free drink from Volvic sounds delish!
Apple and Elderflower is a classic combination, and it makes a nice change for this to be a still drink rather than sparkling.
Best of all, it’s Syn free!!
Volvic sugar free Apple and Elderflower is available from Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose for around £1 a bottle.
Beck’s Blue Alcohol Free 330ml
Beck’s Blue has been around for a while now in bottle form, but it’s now available in new 330ml cans.
If you’ve not tried it yet it’s a light, crisp and refreshing non-alcoholic alternative to beer.
The nutritional info for this states 46 calories per 100ml which works out at 2.5 Syns using the online calculator (so it may be different when it is given an official Syn value).
Beck’s Blue in the 275ml bottles is on the database at 2 Syns per bottle.
At the moment this only seems to be available in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s at £3.00 for a 4 pack.
Check our our guide to Syn values of Cider, Lager & Beer here.
Sweet Freedom “Shakes”
You’ll probably be aware of Sweet Freedom and their chocolate sauces and syrups.
There are now a couple of recent additions to the range.
The new Choc Shakes come in 2 different flavours;
The caramel one is perfect for adding to your HEA of milk to give you a silky smooth chocolate caramel milkshake.
Use the Chocolate Shake Banana for a chocolatey milkshakes with a bananas twist.
You could even add these to smoothies – but don’t forget to add on extra Syns for any blended fruit.
These aren’t on the database yet, but the nutritional info is pretty much the same as the other Sweet Freedom products, so they work out at half a Syn per teaspoon or 2 Syns per tablespoon.
Having said that, please bear in mind that this could change if and when they are given an official Syn value.
At the moment the Sweet Freedom Choc Shakes are only available from Ocado, for £3.50 a bottle.
Crusha No Added Sugar Milkshake
We’re always on the look out for new milkshakes at Pinch of Nom, because we love them, so we were pleased to see that Crusha have 3 new No Added Sugar flavours!
There is a selection of Chocolate, Raspberry or Vanilla which can be added to your Healthy Extra A Milk for a tasty treat!
You only need 25ml of the syrup per portion and at only half a Syn per 25ml, these work out at a very good “syn value”!
Crusha No Added Sugar Milkshakes are available in Morrisons where they’re currently on offer at £1.47 a bottle.
Tesco Low Alcohol Wine
A chilled glass of wine is always a temptation on a warm evening (or any evening in my book!) but the Syns that go with it are not so appealing.
Tesco have a new range of Low Alcohol Wines which average out at around 2.5 – 3 Syns per 125ml – which is not bad at all!!
There are two varieties, Garnacha Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc.
Each contain less than 0.5% alcohol and go through a special “de-alcoholisation” process.
These Low Alcohol Wines are available in Tesco for £3 a bottle.
Curious to know about the Syns of other wines? Then check out our guide to Syn values by the Wine glass.
Last week we featured the Liverpool Gins; this week, it’s the turn of the Liverpool Vodka!
At £45 a bottle, it’s not cheap, but it’s distilled to be stronger so (in theory) you’d need less of it!
Liverpool Vodka is made in small batches, by hand, in a copper pot still. It’s flavour is described as being creamy and sweet!
Vodka is one of the lowest Syn spirits and is incredibly versatile, for cocktails, in pasta or straight up!
Star of Bombay
There has been a really exciting increase in the amount of interesting gins available in the supermarkets – and with good reason!
A G&T is delicious and refreshing drink, and low in Syns to boot!
Star of Bombay comes in a beautiful pale blue bottle (one of my favourite things about gins are their bottles!) and is distilled with various botanicals to give it a distinctive taste.
This gin is £35, which is about average for a bottle of high quality gin, and is available from Tesco.
You can check out our guide to Syns in Spirits and Liqueurs here.
New Walkers Sunbites flavours
There are 2 new flavours to add to the Sunbites Multigrain Snack range.
Tomato & Mozzarella and Honey Glazed Barbecue.
They are made with 67% wholegrain, and because they are baked they contain 30% less fat than regular crisps.
The Barbecue flavour are available from Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Ocado, but the Tomato & Mozzarella only seem to be in Tesco and Ocado at the moment.
Sunbites Multigrain Crispy Snacks (all varieties) are on the database at 6 Syns per 25g bag, and these 2 new varieties work out the same using the online calculator.
Fox’s Mini Party Rings
Everyone loves a biscuit, and Fox’s Mini Party Rings are no exception.
Mini biscuits and biscuit thins are everywhere at the moment and there are no complaints here!
At 1 Syn per biscuit, these little biscuits are a blast from the past, but just in miniature form!
No birthday party was ever complete without them and the miniature versions don’t disappoint either.
Fox’s Mini Party Rings are currently on offer in Tesco for £1 – bargain!
McVities Trio Cake Crunchies
Who doesn’t love a Trio?! They were actually one of my favourites as a child.
Now you can get them in the form of a cake bar. These chocolate covered sponge cakes with a toffee flavoured cream and crunchy biscuit pieces, come in 2 different pack sizes, 5 or 10.
Each cake bar weighs 24g, and they are on the database at 6 Syns each.
You can pick them up from Asda, Tesco and Morrisons for between £1.00 to £1.50 depending on who has the best offers.
Mmmmm Snickers…all things Chocolate are always a winner, add in some peanut-ty caramel goodness and it’s always going to be a winner!
These little Snickers bites are enough to satisfy a chocolate craving without using all of your daily Syn allowance.
A quarter of the bag is likely to be around 6.5 Syns, which really isn’t bad!
They are a little moreish though so don’t say you haven’t been warned!
Snickers Bites are available in Morrisons and currently on offer for £1 a bag.
As with the Snickers Bites, these little miniature Twix’s are a scrummy little morsel to give you a little chocolate fix when you need one!
Who can resist biscuit, caramel and chocolate?!
These bags are great for sharing, and at around 7.5 Syns for quarter of a bag, you won’t have to worry too much about going over your Syn allowance.
Twix Bites are available at Morrisons and are currently on offer at £1 at bag.
