Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 326,000 members 😱 it keeps going up each week!) one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.
This post contains affiliate links. Find out what this means.
Each week on our Shopping Essentials round up, we bring you at least one Speed food choice.
This week we have a 600g net of Tesco Clementines or Sweet Easy Peelers.
I just love the flavour of these fruits. Sweet and juicy, they make an ideal snack and of course, they’re Speed food!

A few weeks ago, we published an article to help you stay on plan when you’re out and about – Slimming World on the Go | A Pinch of Advice
Sometimes it’s just a case of finding something quick and Syn free or low in Syns to keep you going.
With this in mind, we found this salad bowl from Florette in Tesco this week.
A classic mix of Carrot, Iceberg, White Cabbage, Cucumber and Tomatoes, all Speed foods, with no little pot of calorie-laden dressing to tempt you!
You can avoid the dangerous meal deal offers if you pair it with a pack of cold meat and you’ll have a quick, satisfying lunch.
This is new in Tesco and costs just £1.00.
I love beetroot! I always have a jar of pickled beetroot in my cupboard, because it’s a great speed food to have on standby.
We also have some fabulous, tasty and colourful recipes for beetroot on our website! Have you tried the Syn Free Beetroot and Mint Hummus?
It’s not just useful for salads and dips, either. We have a great recipe for Syn Free Roasted Garlic and Beetroot Soup too!
If you’re not keen on an overpowering taste of vinegar, or you’d like to use beetroot in a recipe, this beetroot from Florette would be perfect.
A fresh fridge pack of deliciously natural & sweet beetroot which is steam cooked & ready to eat, with no vinegar. For a really easy change, try adding balsamic vinegar instead of malt vinegar!

Skyr, pronounced ‘skee-er’, is a generic name given to a style of strained yogurt.

There are always danger zones around Christmas with so many festive goodies left lying around, so we were pleased to find these Mini Mince Pies in Asda.
Having some of these around will allow you to satisfy the little voice inside you that’s screaming out for a Mince Pie, whilst staying in control of the Syns.
These little beauties are 80 cals each, so work out at 4 Syns using the 20 cals to 1 Syn rule for snacks.
You can pick these up from Asda, priced at £2.00 for 12.
Marks and Spencer Teas
We’re often being told to make sure we increase out fluid intake. Whilst there’s little doubt that water is the best fluid for our bodies, it can get boring. Tea, Coffee, No Added Sugar Squash and Diet Fizzy drinks all count, too.
With this in mind, Kay and Kate took a little trip to M&S this morning to take a look at some of the speciality teas on offer. Some look so pretty, they’d make great Syn Free Christmas presents, too!
Japanese Genmaicha 15 Tea Pyramids – A nutty, full flavoured blend of steamed Green Tea and Rice.
Winter Spiced Chai Tea 15 Pyramid – A sweet blend of black tea, warming spices and vanilla.
Celebration Earl Grey 15 Tea Pyramids.
White Tea and Peppermint 15 Tea Pyramids – A delicate blend of Chinese White Tea, Peppermint, Coconut, and a sprinkle of White Cornflower Petals.
