Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 262,000 members 😱 it keeps going up each week!), one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.

Tesco Seedless Grapes
We love grapes – sweet, juicy and good to snack on. It’s such a shame that they’re not speed too! (If only!)
They are free though, so can still be enjoyed on the Slimming World plan.
You could add them to a bowl of speed fruits for an amazing, on-plan, fruit salad.
We found this great grape selection tray in Tesco this week.
It offers a variety of green, red and black grapes. At £3.00 for 1 Kg, it’s great value, too.
M&S Tropical Fruit Selection
Frozen fruits have become a staple in any Slimming Worlders freezer.
They’re just so handy to have in. Just leave them out to defrost, then add them to pretty much whatever you want.
This Pineapple, Mango and Papaya mix from M&S would be great to add a Tropical twist to overnight oats.
Whilst, only the papaya is speed it is all Free.
Morrisons The Best Pasta
Pasta is another Slimming World store cupboard essential.
It’s is fabulous! We love it. It’s a free, filling food that can be as simple or as fancy as you want it to be.
It’s always fun to find some different pasta shapes too, and Morrisons have now brought out a couple of new dried pastas.
Morrisons The Best Fusillta Casareccia Pasta
The Best Fusillata Casareccia pasta is made by traditional, time-honoured methods.
Pressed through a bronze mould, known as a ‘die’, it’s then air-dried slowly to produce pasta with a distinctive porous texture that will soak up every last drop of sauce.
It’s priced at £1.70 for a 500g bag. As it’s dried pasta – it’s a free food!
Morrisons The Best Trotolle Pasta
Made in the same way as the Fusilllata Casareccia, using a bronze ‘die’, these are Italian pasta twirls air dried for fuller flavour.
They’re also suitable for vegetarians.
It’s priced at £1.70 for a 500g bag. As it’s dried pasta – it’s a free food!
Taylors of Harrogate Teas
Tea has had something of a renaissance over the last year or two. I’m not talking about ‘builder’s bum’ tea, but more exotic types of tea!
Well now, Taylors of Harrogate are launching some new flavours. (Taylors make Yorkshire Tea, by the way!).
Mandarin & Ginger Teabags
Zingy, fragrant and spiced – this warming infusion of sweet citrus is spiked with the kick of ginger.
Lychee & Lime Green Tea Teabags
An uplifting green tea with a celebration of lychee and citrus.
Mango & Cardamom Green Tea Teabags
A green tea is sweetly perfumed by the flavours of mango and cardamom.
White Hibiscus & Peach Green Tea Teabags
A green tea is brightened by white hibiscus flowers and the flavour of juicy peach.
As with all the teas we’ve mentioned over the past few weeks, these are Syn-free and a refreshingly different way to make sure you’re drinking enough fluids
They’re are all available from Ocado at £2.29 for a box of 20 teabags.
Tesco Sherry Vinegar
We’re big fans of vinegar here at Pinch of Nom. It’s a great Syn Free ingredient to use in sauces, marinades and dressings.
Sherry vinegar is produced from the unfermented juice of the sherry grape which gives it a rich, nutty and slightly sweet flavour.
This Tesco Sherry Vinegar would be perfect for our Edamame, Sugar Snap and Carrot Asian Salad.
Aldi BBQ Pork Fillet
Whilst this isn’t a new product, the Aldi BBQ Pork Fillet was very popular but it’s not been available for some time.
Well, the good news is – it’s back! Be aware though, it’s coming back on the weekly Aldi Super 6 offers from August 31st, so it may only be available for a week!
£3.49 for a 550g pack and listed on the database at 2.5 syns per pack ( 0.5 syns for a 110g serving.)
Tilda Firecracker Basmati Rice
Whilst this isn’t new as such, the packaging has changed, so we thought we’d point it out in case you’re left scouring the shelves.
It also used to be a Limited Edition, but it now looks like it’s here to stay.
This Firecracker rice spicy has a smokiness, a peppery heat and Far Eastern flavours.
You’ll find it in Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Ocado.
It’s also available in Aldi, where you can pick it up for 79p a pack, but we don’t know if they will be stocking it permanently.
As the recipe hasn’t changed, it’s still on the SW database at 4 Syns for the whole pack, or 2 Syns for a 125g portion.
We think this would be fab with one of our Chinese Fakeaways.
Hartley’s 10 cal Jelly
Sometimes, when I’ve had a good, on-plan day, I like to round off a meal with something sweet, but that won’t make a dent in my Syns allowance, IF I have any Syns left!
These new flavours from Hartley’s jelly pots really fit the bill. 10 cal delicious!
No artificial colour or flavours and they’re suitable for vegetarians.
Hartley’s 10 Cal Key Lime Pie Flavour Jelly
Hartley’s 10 Cal Lemon Cheesecake Flavour Jelly
Hartley’s 10 Cal Black Forest Gateau Flavour Jelly
Available from Asda at 75p per pot. They’re also available in Sainsbury’s with more supermarkets soon!
These flavours aren’t on the database yet, but we’re pretty sure they’ll be 0.5 Syns each, which is the same as the flavours already listed.
Idahoan Perfect Mashed Potato
Idahoan have been around for a long, long time in the US.
They produce a wide range of potato products, and just recently their Perfect Mashed Potato instant mash range has become available in Asda, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Morrisons and Tesco.
Idahoan Perfect Mash Classic
This comes in a 180g pack, and according to the SW database each 30g portion is 1 Syn.
Idahoan Perfect Mash Classic is light and fluffy in texture, and ready to eat in just one minute.
Idahoan Perfect Mash Butter & Herb
This flavour comes in a slightly smaller pack (109g) and as you would expect the Syn value is a bit higher than the Classic flavour.
Having said that, at 2 Syns per 36g serving it’s not going to break the Syn bank.
Idahoan Perfect Mash Roasted Garlic
As with the Butter & Herb flavour this one comes in a 109g pack, and again it’s 2 Syns per 36g serving.
There are a couple of other flavours available, but these are the only ones currently on the SW database, so if you fancy trying the other ones don’t forget to check the Syn values either on the SW website/app or by contacting the SW Syns Hotline on (0906) 851 8518.
Cadbury Picnic Bites
There’s been a trend with mini versions of our favourite chocolate bars and snacks recently.
Now it’s the turn of Cadbury Picnics!
These Picnic bites are exactly the same as their fully grown counterparts, crispy cereal pieces, chewy caramel, raisins and salty peanuts, all covered in delicious Cadbury milk chocolate, just in much smaller bite size pieces.
They’re not on the database yet, but running them through the Snackulator they come out at 7 Syns per 5 bites.
They are currently available from Tesco and Asda.
Asda Great Shape Cereal Snack Bars
Asda have launched a new range of cereal snack bars that look like they might be similar to the Slimming World Hifi Bars.
There are 3 flavours in the range, come in boxes of 5 x 20g bars and are currently on the shelves for £2.00 a box.
Asda Great Shape Zesty Orange Cereal Snack Bars
These are a combination of chewy oats and crispy rice, with milk chocolate and zingy orange.
They’re not on the database yet, but they work out at 3.5 Syns when calculated online.
Asda Great Shape Chocolate Cereal Snack Bars
These chocolate ones are crispy rice and chewy oats, dipped in milk chocolate.
Again, they come in packs of 5 x 20g bars and work out at 3.5 Syns when using the Snackulator.
Asda Great Shape Mint Chocolate Cereal Snack Bars
The final flavour is Mint Chocolate, which contains rice and wheat crispies, oats and dark mint-flavoured chocolate.
Again, these are not on the database yet, but work out at 3.5 Syns each when run through the online calculator.
And talking of Slimming World HiFi Bars…
There’s a new flavour coming very soon! News broke earlier this week that Carrot Cake will be the next Hi-Fi Bar Flavour!
They’ll be available to buy at group from the week commencing the 23rd of October!
