Over in our Facebook group (where we now have nearly 115,000 members!) one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature. So here we are, with the imaginatively named “This Weeks New Slimming World Shopping Essentials”. You can find last week’s over here.
Weight Watchers White Wraps (50g each) – 1 = HEB/5.5 Syns each
These have started to appear in supermarkets this week, and a lot of you are happy there’s now an alternative to the Be-Free wraps that cost a small fortunes.
These Weight Watchers White wraps weigh 50g each, and you can have 1 wrap as your HEB, or they’re 5.5 syns each.
You could even make these tasty Quorn Chicken Burger Wraps with them!
Porky Whites Chuck Steak Burgers – 0.5 Syns per Burger
These are juicy, thick and pretty damn tasty – everything a burger should be.
The price will vary depending on where you get them from & they’re available from most of the following places.
- Premier Stores
- Budgens (who will even order them in for you by the case if you ask nicely!)
- The Range
We’re looking forward to these tomorrow with some of our Syn Free Sweet Potato Fries!
Aldi Ashfield Farm Reduced Fat Lean Beef Burgers – 1 Syn per burger
As well as the Porky Whites burgers, we have Aldi’s offering!
These have started to appear this week and as expected of Aldi are very reasonably priced at £2.49.
We’ve not had chance to try them yet, but we’ve been informed they’re really rather nice and at just 1 syn each, they’re not bad at all.
Just Add Wine Sachets – Syn Free
These should feature in every Slimming Worlders kitchen cupboard! Just Add Wine is the new, clever, syn free alternative to adding wine to any dish.
Each small ‘easy pour’ sachet – there’s 6 in a box – is the equivalent of adding a full 175ml glass of wine to your dish or recipe.
You get 6 sachets in a box, and you can get them for £2.50 a box in Sainsbury’s. They are bringing out White Wine ones in the spring.
Cathedral City Garlic & Herb Spreadable – 45g HEA/6 Syns
We don’t mind a bit of spreadable cheese, and we’re pretty chuffed to have found these Cathedral City Garlic & Herb Spreadable in Tesco.
Cathedral City Garlic & Herb Spreadable is 46g for your HEA/6 syns.
It’s on offer in Tesco at just £1 per tub until the 7th of Feb.
You could pop some on the top of our Syn Free Chilli Cheesey Nachos!
Sugar Free Fruittella Fruit Foams 80g – 2 Syns 20g serving
Naturally sweetened with the extract of stevia leaves, each foam and gum is full of flavours with absolutely no sugar and no artificial sweeteners.
You needn’t worry that Fruittella’s trade-mark deliciously fruity taste will have been compromised, as both the foams and gums are packed with natural flavours!
The bags are 80g and 20g of these is 2 Syns. I must warn you though, that if you consume too many, they may cause laxative effects.
You can get them in most supermarkets, and are on offer as they’ve just come out.
Reduced Sugar Cheerios – 40g HEB/7.5 Syns
These less than 5% sugar Cheerios are a nice addition to what you can have for your HEA.
They’re high in fibre, have no artificial colours or flavours and are 98% wholegrain.
40g of less than 5% sugar Cheerios counts as your HEB or 7.5 Syns. You can get them in most major supermarkets.
Tesco Choco-nut Malt Wheats – 40g HEB/7 Syns
Here we have another cereal in this week’s list! Tesco Choco-nut Malt Wheats are pretty cheap at just £1.19 a box.
You can have 40g for your HEB or syn them at 7 Syns.
Weetabix Additions – 2 of them for 1 HEB
There’s a new Weetabix on the block in the form of Weetabix Additions.
They come in either Apple & Raisin or Coconut & Raisin.
You can have 2 biscuits of either for your HEB, but the Syn values vary slightly. Apple & Raisin are 7 syns for 2. Coconut & Raisin are 7.5 Syns for 2.
Weetabix Additions are available in most major supermarkets.
Arla Lactofree Mild Cheddar – 30g HEA/6 Syns
Arla Lactofree Mild Cheddar is the first lactofree cheese available as your HEA on Slimming World.
Arla Lactofree Mild Cheddar is 30g for your HEA or 6 syns. The Arla Lactofree Mature Cheddar is the same too.
From what we’ve heard, it tastes pretty nice & is available in most supermarkets.
Silvercrest Soup Maker – Lidl 29/1 – £39.99
Silvercrest products have never let us down, and this has to be one of the best looking soup makers I’ve seen in a while. It reminds me a lot of my Thermomix!
This Silvercrest Soup Maker is available in Lidl stores from the 29th of Jan for just £39.99.
Slimming World Pork & Leek Sausages – Syn Free
Slimming World made some noise about some new additions to it’s Slimming World at Iceland meals.
In Iceland stores from the 20th of Feb are these Pork & Leek Sausages and will be priced at £3 a pack. We don’t know if they’ll be as nice as Porky Lights, but they’ll be syn free.
You’ll have to be quick though, these Pork & Leek Sausages are a limited edition, so won’t be hanging around for long.
