Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 290,000 members 😱 it keeps going up each week!), one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.

Morrisons Wonky Veg boxes
Morrisons have brought us quite a few ‘Wonky’ vegetables over the past couple of months, and now they are launching a Wonky veg box.
The boxes contain over 4kg of vegetables, made up of eight seasonal varieties, including staples like carrots, onions, potatoes and cauliflower, sourced from British and overseas growers.
They will be on sale from Monday 2nd October, for £3 a box, and according to Morrisons they ‘can feed a family for a week’.
Morrisons Organic Veg boxes
We covered these this week, but I think they’re just too good a deal to miss! Seriously – this is a bargain.
Usually organic veg is pretty steep, but this box is only £8!
The seasonal selection Includes:
- White Potatoes 750g
- Loose Carrots 400g
- Red Onions 300g
- Large Garlic Bulb
- Fresh Fennel 180g
- Golden Bunched Beetroot
- 4 x Leeks
In my opinion this is an absolute bargain!! You can grab them in Morrisons stores from Monday 2nd October.
Soreen Malt Loaf – new limited edition flavours
Well, Autumn is well and truly here, with it’s misty mornings, cooler weather and beautiful changing colours.
Sure signs that it’s Autumn include; children returning to school after the long summer break, Strictly back on the tellybox and Halloween themed items in the shops.
(Don’t hold your breath though, next stop – Christmas!).
Last week, we featured Soreen Apple lunchbox loaves in the Shopping essentials list.
Well, this week we have two new flavours, with a Halloween theme. They’re a limited edition, so grab them while you can!
Chocolate and Blood Orange Scream Deliciously Spooky Malt Loaf
A blood orange malt loaf with milk chocolate chips.
These come in a pack of 5 x 30g lunchbox-sized mini loaves, perfect for a squidgy snack!
Available from Morrisons, they cost £1.00 for a pack of 5 cakes.
They’re 5 Syns each on the Syns online app.
Soreen Toffee Apple Scream Deliciously Spooky Malt Loaf
Another scrummy offering from Soreen. Toffee apple mini malt loaves with toffee pieces.
The great thing about these mini malt loaves is that there’s no need to add butter.
These are also a limited edition, so make sure you try them while they’re available in the shops!
Morrisons are selling these, priced at £1.00 for a pack of 5 mini malt loaves.
These are on the app at 4.5 Syns each.
Tassimo T-Discs LOr Espresso Latte Macchiato, Skinny
As you may have gathered from previous shopping lists, coffee is the fuel that gets me out of bed in the morning!
There are so many different coffee types on the market, from instant and ground coffees, to sachets and coffee pods for machines.
The range of flavours is really quite mind-boggling, but many of the pods and sachets are not Slimming World-friendly.
Someone in our Facebook group posted these new Tassimo T-Discs this week.
Imagine the luxury of being able to produce your own Espresso Latte Macchiato coffee at home, for a fraction of the price of the well-known coffee outlets…and a fraction of the Syns too!
These Tassimo L’Or Espresso Latte Macchiato Skinny T-Discs are on Syns Online for 2.5 Syns each.
The Tassimo T-Discs cost £4.49 for a pack of 8, but Asda currently have them on promotion at 3 packs for £10, which is a huge saving!
Pinot Pinot Pinot Grigio Sparkling 200ml can
How I miss the long summer evenings now that the nights are really drawing in.
Enjoying a refreshing summer cocktail in the garden was a real pleasure, especially with our low syn cocktails!
A glass of something sparkling always lifts the mood, whether you’re celebrating something or just treating yourself.
It’s not always practical to open a bottle of fizz, especially if it’s just for you.
We’ve found something which might just save the day. Sparkling Pinot Grigio in a 200ml can. Perfect!
This is a gorgeous, lightly sparkling 11% vol Pinot Grigio. Light, fresh and easy drinking, bursting with peach and citrus flavours.
Perfect chilled for when you want a glass of something bubbly.
We don’t have Syns on this yet, it’s not on the app and we don’t have enough information to put the details through the Syns calculator.
(As a guide, a 250ml glass of Pinot Grigio would be 9 Syns, so this would work out slightly less, as it’s a 200ml can.)
This is available from Tesco, at £2.00 per can.
Tesco Cauliflowerice (frozen)
In last week’s shopping essentials list, we featured some frozen vegetable rice products from Iceland.
Well, it seems that other manufacturers are jumping on the veggie rice train!
This week, it’s the turn of Tesco, who have launched Cauliflowerice – Frozen Crunchy rice size pieces of cauliflower.
Offering a healthy, gluten free alternative to traditional rice. If you’re trying to reduce carbs, this is a great idea.
The only listed ingredient is Cauliflower, there’s no added oil. (Unlike the Iceland branded Cauli rice packs that we featured last week.)
There are 4 x 150g bags of Cauliflowerice in a pack, which costs £1.75
Not on the app yet, but when we put these through the Syns calculator they come out at 0.5 Syns per 125g bag.
Aunty’s Fruit pots
We’re often reminded on our Slimming World that blended and pureed fruit has to be synned.
The Slimming World website has more info on this topic.
Controvery aside, we were intrigued to spot these on the Tesco website when we did our shopping order this week.
‘Deliciously juicy pureed apple, blended with tangy strawberry’. At only 2.5 Syns, these look pretty interesting.
We were thinking that they might work well stirred into natural yogurt, or even in overnight oats!
Of course, you could just enjoy them for what they are, as a healthy low-Syn snack.
They’re free from artificial flavours and artificial colours, with no added salt or sugar.
Aunty’s Fruit Pots are available from Tesco and come in a pack of 4 x 100g pots for just £1.00
These work out at 2.5 Syns per pot when worked out on the Syns calculator.
Cadbury Mini Yule Log
I’ve already had to mention that Christmas is just around the corner!
It’s that time of year when many of us will be keeping a closer watch on the Syns that we’re eating, especially with all the calorific treats that are crying out to be enjoyed!
Having said all that, as long as you know the Syn value, you can enjoy one of these Cadbury Mini Yule Logs!
Chocolate flavoured sponge with a chocolate flavoured filling, covered with Cadbury milk chocolate and sprinkled with a light sweet dusting.
You’ll find these in Tesco, £2.00 for a pack of 5 cakes.
They’re not on the app yet, but work out at 6 Syns on the calculator.
Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs Sweet N Smokin
Just a couple of weeks ago we featured Hippeas Salt n Vinegar Vibes in the Shopping Essentials round up.
Tesco have now started stocking some of the range, in 78g sharing bags.
They are currently listing the Sweet N Smokin and the Cheese and Love flavours.
They are organic, vegan, gluten-free, chick pea puffs, packed with protein and fibre.
Although this is a sharing bag at 78g, the recommended serving is 22g, which is the same as a single bag. The 22g bag is listed on the app at 4.5 Syns.
Hartleys 10 cal Jelly Pots – new flavours!
Do you remember the new flavours of Hartleys Jelly we showed you a few weeks ago?
Well, we’ve found a couple more new flavours and they sound very tasty!
Cloudy Elderflower Lemon Flavour Jelly and Original Lemonade Flavour Jelly.
They’re both super low in Syns, these are a really tasty, sweet dessert choice, especially straight from the fridge.
All of the jelly pots in this range are 10 cals, which works out at 0.5 Syns.
Lots of the Hartleys Jelly Pots already listed on the app and all have the same nutritional values, so although these new flavours aren’t on the app yet, we’re pretty sure they’ll be 0.5 Syns too.
These are available from Tesco, priced at 70p per pot, and currently on offer, 5 pots for £3.00.
Paxo Sage And Onion Gluten Free Stuffing
We are often asked if we have a Gluten Free option for our recipes. We have a growing GF section on our website.
We’re always looking out for GF options, so we were thrilled to find this!
A sage and onion stuffing mix made with rice flour and gram flour.
It’s not on the app yet, but we’ve run it through the Syns Calculator and for a 50g portion of made-up, cooked stuffing mix, it works out at 3.5 Syns.
It costs £2.00 for a 150g box, available from Tesco.
Schär Chicken Kievs – Gluten Free
We’ve found another Gluten Free choice this week. Some you you might be familiar with the Schar brand.
We used their delicious Ciabatta rolls when we created our Syn-free cheesy garlic bread.
This week we’ve discovered Schar Gluten Free Chicken Kievs.
A tasty treat and something a little different. If you’re following a GF eating plan, these would definitely be worth a try!
These are available in Iceland, priced at £2.99 for a box of 2 Chicken Kievs.
They’re on the SW database at 7 Syns each.
Honey Monster Puffs New 40g Bags
Honey Monster have just released these new 40g bags, which are pretty neat considering it’s 40g per HEB!
You can grab them in Morrisons for just 40p per bag, fab for breakfast on the go!
Muller Light Kiwi and Pineapple flavour – Limited Edition
New to the Muller Light range this week, we have a flavour inspired by New Zealand!
Kiwi and Pineapple Muller Light yogurt is reminiscent of summer, with two fruit flavours that complement each other perfectly.
We’ve only found these listed in Asda so far, but no doubt stock will be rolled out to other supermarkets very soon. As an extra bonus, Asda have an 8 for £4 deal on Muller lights at the moment!
They’re not on the database yet, but they came out as free when we ran them through the Syns calculator.

Everything written here about the products is my own opinion. Syn values given are correct at time of writing but may not always be accurate.
Ideally, you should check with Slimming world for the most up to date Syn values using official resources such as; the Syns calculator, Syns Online on LifelineOnline or by calling the Syns Hotline on (0906) 851 8518.
