Over in our Facebook group (where we now have over 220,000 members 😱 it keeps going up each week!), one of the hot topics of each week is spotting new products that are Slimming World friendly!
Not all of you are in our Facebook group (you should be!), so I thought I’d add it to the website as a weekly feature.

This week we’ve got lots of new products that are perfect for the weather warming up (or rather not this week!), and Summer rolling in ☀️
We do love a good BBQ, and it finally looks like we’re going to get some nice weather, after a rather Autumnal week! Nearly 500 of you have ordered, and if you want one you best be quick!
6 x Pork & Leek Sausages – 1.5 Syns each
16 x Traditional Pork Chipolatas – 0.5 Syns each
16 x Cumberland Pork Chipolatas – 0.5 Syns each
8 x Classic Grill Burgers
2 x Smokey BBQ Chicken Breasts – Syn free
2 x Piri Piri Chicken Breasts – Syn free
1KG of Premium Rump Steak – Syn free
2.5kg Prime Chicken Breasts – Syn free
You can grab this very special offer over on the Protein Food Shop website!
You may remember a while back, we mentioned that Protein Food Shop had started stocking Skinny Syrups.
Well, they’ve added more and now stock 13 different flavours. So why not grab a few when you place your next meat order?
Tesco Butternut Squash Cubes
You can now get fresh diced butternut squash from Tesco. It’s washed and ready to cook, so all you have to do is tip them out and roast, boil or microwave them.
They’re also very handy if you don’t have the time (or strength!) to prepare a whole butternut squash.
They’re currently £1.00 for a 350g pack.
Asda Frozen for Freshness Baby Carrots, Baby Corn & Sugar Snap Peas – Free & Speed
There’s not much to say about this this mix of peas, baby carrots, baby corn and sugar snap peas other than it’s always handy to have in the freezer.
The only thing that isn’t speed is the peas. A 900g bag costs £2.00
Asda Frozen for Freshness Mixed Veg with Broccoli & Red Peppers – Free & Speed
Another frozen mixed veg from Asda. This one contains frozen peas, sweetcorn, carrots, broccoli and red pepper.
As with the Baby Carrots, Baby Corn & Sugar Snap Pea mix this one is £2.00 and comes in a 900g bag.
Meat Lust Katsu Curry Sauce
Last week, you may remember, we mentioned the Flava-it range of marinades. Not only are they masters of marinades, they also make a selection of marinades/dipping sauces.
We’ll be reviewing some of them soon, but in the meantime they’ve added this new Katsu Curry Sauce to the range.
It’s a fruity, Japanese curry sauce which is great when used as a dip, or to flavour beef, chicken or pork dishes.
You can buy the Katsu Curry Sauce (and other varieties) from Tesco for around £2.49, and some others in the range are available at Sainsbury’s, Asda, Coop and Morrisons.
The Katsu Curry Sauce isn’t on the database yet, but it works out at 1 syn per tablespoon using the online calculator, so it may be different if and when it is given an official Syn value.
New Asda Slimzone Meals
Asda have brought out a whole raft of new meals in their Slimzone range. They’ve even added fresh meals, and soups!
As you probably know, a few months ago there was a little legal tussle between Asda & Slimming World.
It was agreed between them that the Asda Slimzone meals would not appear on the Syns database.
So with that in mind, you’ll need to run them through the calculator and decide for yourself how you’d Syn them.
The lack of veggie options in Slimming World’s own line of ready meals has long been a complaint. I have to say, I’m really impressed that Asda have added 5 veggie options. Impressive!
Here’s a list of the new Asda Slimzone meals;
- Beef Casserole and Parsnip Mash
- Indian Chicken Sizzler
- Chicken and prawn paella
- Mexican Beef Sizzler
- Roast Chicken dinner
- Roasted Vegetable Arrabbiata Pasta (v)
- Tomato, Red Pepper & Quinoa (v)
- Chunky Minestrone (v)
- Chicken & Vegetable
- Veggie Biryani Curry (v)
- Veggie Danshak (v)
- Sausage and Boston Bean Bake
- Sausage and Bean Cassoulet
- BBQ Chicken With Sweet Potato & Butternut Crush
Nairns Gluten Free Salt And Vinegar Snackers
These Salt and Vinegar Snackers are made with wholegrain oats, which are naturally gluten free and a rich source of fibre.
They come in multipacks of 5, with each bag weighing 23g. They’re already on the SW database at 5 Syns per bag.
You can get the multipacks from Tesco and Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s sell the 23g bags individually.
Walkers Baked Fusions
These Baked Potato Snacks contains 50% less fat than regular potato crisps.
They come in 3 different flavours; Chilli & Lime, Cheddar & Red Pepper and Tomato & Herb.
All 3 varieties are 95-96 cal per 22g pack, so they work out at 5 Syns per bag.
There are 6 22g bags in a pack, and they are available from Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s for anything between £1.00 and £1.80 per pack, depending on who has the best offer.
Please note, as these aren’t currently on the database the Syn value has been worked out using the online calculator, so it may change if and when they are given an official Syn value.
Deli Kitchen Skinni Wraps
These come in two different varieties Multigrain and Plain. Each wrap weighs in at 30g, and they come in packs of 6.
The plain ones are wheat tortillas, made with plain and wholemeal wheat flour.
The multigrain ones are made with a number of different flours, including wheat, wholemeal, buckwheat, barley flour and poppy seeds.
Both are on the SW database at 4.5 Syns per wrap, and they are currently on offer at Tesco for £1.00 for a pack of 6.
Either would be perfect to use in our Syn Free Chicken Shawarma recipe.
Hovis Lower Carb Wholemeal
Hovis have recently launched a range of loaves that are naturally lower in carbs.
They are baked in the same way as other Hovis loaves just with with fewer carbs, and more fibre and protein.
The Lower Carb Wholemeal is in the SW database at 3.5 Syns per slice, but it is not mentioned as an HEB option, however, this could just be due to the fact that 2 slices weigh more than 60g.
We would urge you to contact SW yourself to confirm whether or not it can be used as an HEB.
The two other varieties in the range are Lower Carb Soft & Tasty White, which is also 3.5 Syns a slice, and Lower Carb Deliciously Seeded which is slightly higher at 4.5 Syns a slice.
They are currently available at Tesco, and other major supermarkets.
As mentioned please contact Slimming World directly to find out if any of these new loaves can be used as an HEB option.
Any of them would make the perfect BLT!
Batchelor’s Pasta ‘n’ Sauce Pots
Sometimes life gets in the way, and a quick snack like this can be the different between taming the gobble monster and opting for something that really isn’t Slimming World friendly.
Batchelor’s have shrunk their Pasta ‘n’ Sauce sachets, into these quick and easy pots of pasta.
I’m not advocating that these should replace a meal, FAR from it – but if you’re stuck, they’re a great option.
The Pasta ‘n’ Sauce pots come in 4 different flavours;
- Chicken & Mushroom – 1.5 Syns
- Chicken & Pancetta – 1.5 Syns
- Mac ‘n’ Cheese – 1.5 Syns
- Broccoli & Cheese – 1.5 Syns
They’re all 1.5 Syns each, which isn’t bad considering they’re basically a pot of stodge. I tried the Mac ‘n’ Cheese flavour last night, and I was pretty shocked to find it edible 😂
They’re on offer in most supermarkets at the moment for £1 a pot.
Leading producers of still and sparkling wines, Freixenet is a family run business based in California. They are now extending their range to include Prosecco.
Prosecco is pretty popular in the Slimming World community as it’s relatively low in Syns at 5 per 125ml.
This is a premium Prosecco, so it isn’t the cheapest on the market, at £12 a bottle, but I have to say it certainly looks the most impressive with it’s cut-glass bottle.
If you fancy treating yourself it’s available from Tesco and Ocado.
Gallo Spritz Wild Strawberry
Gallo are adding Wild Strawberry to their Spritz range. It’s made by blending Gallo White Zinfandel blended with strawberry flavours and has an ABV of 9%.
The existing flavours in the range are Raspberry & Lime, Pineapple & Passionfruit and Peach & Nectarine which are all have a slightly lower ABV.
The new strawberry flavour isn’t on the database yet, but working on 9% ABV it works out at 6 Syns for 175ml or 9 Syns for 250ml.
As always if it’s not yet on the database then please be aware that this may be different if and when it is added.
You can pick this Gallo Wild Strawberry Spritz from Tesco and Asda for about £4.50 to £5 a bottle.
Blossom Hill Spritz Raspberry and Blackcurrant
This is a slightly sparkling Spanish Tempranillo with a refreshing hint of raspberry, strawberry and blackcurrant.
The ABV of this Spritz is 5.5%, which means it works out at 5.5 Syns per 175ml. Please note that this isn’t on the database yet so the official Syn value may change when it’s added.
You can pick a bottle up from Tesco or Sainsbury’s for around £4.00 a bottle.
BrewDog Nanny State
Nanny State is so low in alcohol it is below the legal classification of beer, but it’s not quite alcohol free as it’s 0.5% ABV.
It’s on the SW database at only 1.5 Syns per 330ml bottle, so it’s a great lower Syn alternative to Becks Blue (2 Syns per 275ml) or Heineken Alcohol Free which is 3.5 per 330ml.
We enjoyed a few bottles last night, and it’s really nice!
It’s available from Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, Ocado, Waitrose, Morrisons and from the Brew Dog website.
Cadbury Cake Bars – Syns vary per cake
These come in two varieties, Caramel and Milk Chocolate, and a new look and a new pack size.
The caramel ones are a chocolate flavoured sponge with a smooth caramel topping, all smothered in Cadbury milk chocolate, and the milk chocolate ones are a chocolate sponge with a smooth chocolate flavoured topping, covered in Cadbury milk chocolate.
There are 10 or 5 cake bars in each pack, with each one weighing 24g and they will be available from most major supermarkets.
Both varieties are on the database, the caramel ones are 5 Syns each and the Milk Chocolate ones are 5.5 Syns.
Heck Super Slim Sausages
There is a new Sausage in town!
Following in the steps of Porky Lights, Asda Light and Lean, Marks & Spencer Skinny Sausage, and the Little Sausage Co Skinny Sausages, Heck have launched their new Super Slim Sausages!
We’ll be bringing you a full review of these in the coming weeks, but for now the jury is out on how the taste as we’ve heard some mixed reviews.
You can get them at Sainsburys, and they work at 1.5 Syns a sausage. This is a calculated value and may well change – so make sure to check Syns Online.
