You’ll need to heat the Mars Bars and reduced fat margarine spread until melted.

Once you’ve combined the melted chocolate with the Rice Krispies, you’ll need to pop the mix in the fridge for around 15 minutes until it has firmed up.

Can you make these Rice Krispie Christmas Puds any other way?

If you don’t have a microwave then you could always melt the Mars Bars and chocolate by placing them in a heat proof bowl and putting the bowl over a saucepan of boiling water (make sure that the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl!).

How long can you store these Rice Krispie Christmas Puds for?

You should keep these Rice Krispie Christmas Puds in an airtight container. They should keep for 3-4 days (if you can resist them!).

Can I use regular Rice Krispies rather than Coco Pops so the puds are a little less sweet?

Hi Jacqueline, you could use Rice Krispies although this will make the finished result lighter in colour and less chocolatey in flavour. Hope this helps!

I made these today for taster/party night tonight, they worked really well. Many thanks for the recipe. I found tiny Christmas tree sprinkles at Waitrose that worked well as holly leaves and freeze dried raspberry pieces for the berries. Happy Christmas!

Hi, would you know the weight of the fun size Mars or the total weight of the Mars used. I wont be able to buy the fun size bars locally but would be able to buy a bar and measure. Thanks.

Hi there, do you think it would be okay if I made these on Wednesday evening for taster night on Thursday evening or would they go too soft or too hard?

These went down a storm at my early Christmas party this week. I’m making these for a third time this week. This time for my kids. Thankyou.

Mine were also too sticky to roll into balls, even after over an hour in the fridge, so I’ve popped them in the freezer and hope that works ???? maybe the balance of chocolate to caramel isn’t quite right? Would 2 normal sized mars bars work better?

How did you roll them into balls? Mine were too sticky. Just ended up being crispy cakes ????
Really want to make these for the party.

    Hi Lisa,

If you wait for it to cool slightly then it won’t be quite so sticky. You could also try putting it into mini pastry cases to hold it in the right place ????
