Low Syn Chocolate and Orange Biscuits
This time last year, I was making butter laden, mega fatty shortcake biscuits…tasty as they were, they were not good for my waistline.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda. Rub in the flora light until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  2. Add the finely grated zest of one orange, orange extract, sukrin 1 and 25 grams of the chocolate chips and mix thoroughly. Mix in the egg to form a ball of dough.
  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out to about 5mm and cut into 42 shapes (I used a 5cm star cutter). Place onto a baking tray lined with parchment and lightly spray with frylight.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes until golden. Leave to cool.
  5. Melt the remaining dark chocolate chips and once the biscuits are cool, drizzle over. Decorate however you like and serve!
