Low Syn Curried Sausages | Slimming World

These Low Syn Curried Sausages came about after having a hankering for a chippy dinner one night. Sadly, Chippy + Slimming World = a gazillion Syns, so we thought we’d make Low Syn Curried Sausages instead!

We tend to prefer the lightness of Asian dishes over a curry, but these Low Syn Curried Sausages are certainly something we’re going to make again and again!

I know this sounds like one of those “odd” recipes. Us Brits wouldn’t usually think of putting sausages in a curry, but we wouldn’t think twice about having sausage, curry sauce and chips from the chippy.

Curried Sausages is as common as Spag Bol in Australia, and after chatting to an Aussie friend we decided to give it the Slimming World treatment.

The regular version of Curried Sausages, is one of those recipes passed down through the generations. It doesn’t usually contain much veg apart from the curry sauce.

In our Slimming World version, Low Syn Curried Sausages, we’ve crammed as much veg as we can into it. Even the sauce is made of speed food!

I’m going to quit trying to persuading you to try this because you should. It is glorious, and will be featuring on our meal plan!

Whenever we need to replace oil in cooking we use Frylight. Perfect for everyday frying and cooking, it delivers exactly one calorie per spray, which makes it Syn free! The Rapeseed or Coconut Oil flavours are ideal for this Low Syn Curried Sausages recipe.

What sausages should I use for Low Syn Curried Sausages?

We’ve been on the hunt for a new meat supplier for a while now. As you know, we used to use Musclefood, but not anymore! We’ve found a company that not only has a better moral compass but also has some of the best quality meat we've seen in a long time.

Protein Food Shop is a family run business, and really care about where their meat comes from. They also produce Slimming sausages that in my opinion, are the best “diet” sausages we’ve ever had.

You can grab their sausages in a few of our hamper deals, you really should give them a try.

We even have a special Sausage selection box! Their full-size sausages come in at 1 Syn each, and Chipolatas at 0.5 Syns each.

Either are PERFECT for these Low Syn Curried Sausages!

  1. This reminds me of the Currywurst which you can get in Germany so it’s one to definitely try but using low syn or syn free sausages instead of the Bratwurst used in Germany. We have a local wholesale butcher who sells syn free sausages in several flavours including tomato which I think may go well in this recipe.

  2. how many carbs and sugar in this pls, I’m diabetic and need a low carb diet, would this be okay can’t have more than 30gm of carbs per meal
