Low Syn Dominos Fakeaway Pepperoni Passion Pizza | Slimming World

Since Slimming World now class 60g of baked Aldi/Asda Wholemeal Bread Mix as your HEB there has been a lot of pizza recipes posted on Facebook and Instagram.

This got us thinking about what flavour pizzas we could make syn free or low syn, and we came up with our own Fakeaway versions of these Papa Johns favourites : Syn Free Chicken Club, Syn Free Mexican Chipotle Meatball and Syn Free Chicken Tandoori. Now nearly 3 months on we have decided to try a few more, this time based on Dominos favourites!

So, we enlisted the help of our Facebook Group and asked them what they would like to see. You can join our Facebook group by clicking the image below!

In the tradition of those cheesy Saturday night talent shows, we’ll be announcing the winners in reverse order from third place to the most popular.

So, without further ado, here is the 3rd most requested Dominos Pizza flavour – Pepperoni Passion Pizza.

Now, as pepperoni is quite high in syns we will be limiting the amount we use to 9g, which works out at 1.5 syns. A handy little trick for cutting out the pepperoni into small rounds to give the pizza that authentic look, is to use the end of a plain piping nozzle

We’ve also added some Sausages coated in a little paprika. You could have just these and skip the Pepperoni if you want to spend your syns on something else.

We used 30g of zero fat mozzarella (which is half your HEA or you can use 20g of light cheddar if you prefer) and it uses your daily HEB option. It’s actually pretty tasty, and unlike other “diet” cheeses, melts well too!

Time Saving Tips

There are a few steps to making these, and they do take a while due to the proving of the dough and cooking of the sausage – but it is worth it. I promise.

Time saving tip, cook the sausage & prepare the toppings whilst your waiting for the dough to prove – it will save you a lot of time. Do not put raw sausage on these pizza’s!!

A Note About Weights

Slimming World do say that the 60g is of cooked dough – so you need to be careful! We’ve experimented and cooked 65g of dough, and when baked it weighed just under 60g – so you should be ok. Just remember this we’re not trained consultants and our advice doesn’t replace that of your consultant – be sensible!

  1. Hi Kate you know the whole meal dough mix do I have to have a bread maker or can you justake the dough up and cook it,also were do I buy this from

    1. Hi Angie,
No you don’t need a bread maker, you can just make the dough up by hand. The pack instructions will tell you how long to prove etc.

60g of the Aldi, The Pantry Crusty Wholemeal Bread Mix can be used as your HEB and so can Asdas Chosen by You wholemeal Bread Mix.

Unfortunately they are the only 2 brands that can be used as your HEB

    1. Hi Jane
Thanks for pointing it out. It seems there was a glitch with the recipe card on the page. It’s been fixed now and should be showing the correct syn value of 1.5

    1. Hi Jean
Normal white bread mix also contains gluten, so you would probably have to use a gluten free bread mix. Having said thatI’m not sure if there are any that are an HEB option so you would have to check the syn value
