Syn Free Fakeaway Fried Rice
By now you’ll probably know that Chinese used to be a firm favourite of ours, pre Slimming World days. But, as is the way with most things that we enjoyed, it’s not very Slimming World friendly. So we decided to make our own version. Here’s our Syn Free Fakeaway Fried Rice recipe.

Ingredients

  1. Cook the rice according to packet instructions & allow to cool. If you drain the rice and then pour a kettle of boiling water over it the rice will not stick together as much
  2. Mist your wok or frying pan with Frylight
  3. Over a medium heat add the onions and peppers, then cook for a few minutes
  4. Add the peas, sweetcorn and mushrooms and cook until they just start to colour
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce and allow to cook for another couple of minutes
  6. Add the egg and chicken pieces, mix well
  7. Stir in the cooked rice and allow to cook, stirring continuously, until it is piping hot
  8. Stir in some more soy sauce if you want, then serve with curry sauce
