Pre Slimming World, I was an iced coffee addict. So thought I’d try making a Syn free Frappuccino without using your Healthy A!

We all know how much sugar and fat is hiding in those delicious drinks from the big coffee chains so I have been thinking about how to make a delicious frappuccino without syns and without sacrificing my Healthy A cheese/milk.

Then it came to me in the isles of my local ASDA.

I picked up a multi pack of the Skinny Latte/ Skinny Cappuccino Muller Lights.

Why not use yoghurt as a creamy base for an iced coffee drink? I remember seeing something on Pinterest a while back about a blended yoghurt drink they have in India called Lassi so decided to go for it.

I have to admit, it doesn’t really touch the likes of Starbucks and Costa but it is a nice alternative without having to use up any of your Slimming World restricted items.

A note about using Tweaks in this Syn free Frappuccino without using your Healthy A!

It’s important to remember that Slimming World would consider this a tweak.
A tweak is when a Free Food is used to replace a higher Synned ingredient.
In this case as you are using a Muller Light instead of milk. Consuming yogurts this way can reduce the time it takes to eat and the filling power.

Slimming World recommend Synning Tweaks in the same way you would Syn the ingredient you are replacing.

This can be a controversial topic, as some people choose to Syn Tweaks while others don’t. So please bear in mind that it is your journey and yours alone, so you should do whatever you feel is the best for you.

If you choose to Syn this tweak then you should add around 2 Syns on for the Muller Light.

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Choose your desired cups, fill with ice and pour into your blender. I make two small cups, but feel free to make one big one!
  2. Add the whole pot of Muller Light to the blender.
  3. Add a shot of espresso- I prefer a stronger coffee. You could also put a bit of hot water into some instant coffee and add this.
  4. Add a few drops of flavouring- I use Salted Caramel Essence from Tesco but you could use vanilla essence or some sugar free syrup!
  5. Blend like mad, serve and drink straight away. Tangy, sweet and delish!

  2. Since both cups are syn free can one person have both, or does that change the syn value? I don’t often have a frappucino but when I do I like it to be large.
