We posted this Syn Free Melon & Berry Bowl on Instagram a few weeks ago, and some of you have asked for the recipe – so here it is. It’s Syn free, suitable for an SP day (minus the grapes!!) and takes less than 10 minutes to prepare!!

We love melons (not a euphemism!). Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Piel Del Sapo, Charantais (pictured here), Galia, Honeydew nom nom nom. I think we were pretty pleased when we joined Slimming World and were told that we could eat as much as we like.
We’re fans of melon for breakfast, or for a light lunch on weigh day. There has even been studies that show that watermelon can aid in weight loss, so what are you waiting for?
You can fill these with what ever you like, just make sure to put in there the melon that you scoop out, this isn’t just a fancy bowl 😉 We fill ours with berries, but you can add what ever you like; Kiwi, Plums, Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Pineberries (you can get them from Waitrose or your local green grocer), Orange segments, apple segments – seriously, anything. Just make sure it’s a speed fruit for as SP day if you’re doing one!!
If you’re having this for breakfast add a bit of chopped mint for some freshness, or even reserve the orange juice if you’re cutting segments and pour it over. You can prepare this the night before (not apples – they’ll go brown), just cover with cling film.
