Hibachi Chicken with Yum Yum Sauce is a great choice for a weekend fakeaway, but given that it’s on the table in less than an hour it may well become a favourite for any night of the week!

Does the sriracha sauce make it really spicy? Would it make a huge difference if I left it out?

Reply

    HollyFriday 14th May 2021

Hey Kirsten, no it won’t make it super spicy you could leave it out or add a little at a time so it doesn’t become to hot for your taste. Hope that helps!

I was apprehensive because I don’t like vegetables all that much but in an effort to try to be more healthy, I made this tonight. We don’t like mushrooms so just left them out. Clean bowls all round! So easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Hi Kelly, yes, it should be fine to substitute the mayonnaise with one of your suggestions and adjust the calories accordingly if they are important to you.

I don’t like bell peppers, is there anything I can replace them with ?

Reply

    HollyThursday 3rd December 2020

Hi Heather, you could double up on the carrot, courgette and mushroom in this recipe to replace the peppers or add some sliced red onion and green beans. Hope that helps!

Thank you, that’s a big help, not just this recipe, but for other recipes that have those yucky peppers in 😁
