Burgers are a barbecue staple, and these Pork and Apple Burgers are a great way to change up the usual BBQ fare. The flavours in this recipe may seem a little unusual but don’t be put off by the fennel seeds – the little pop of aniseed works so well with the pork, without being too overbearing. Add to that the tanginess of the apple, and you have one mega mouthwatering burger. You could even top it with apple sauce for extra flavour!

For rustic handmade patties, press these burgers into shape by hand. Or why not use a burger press for an even more professional look.

The flavours of fennel and apple are so good, served with mango salsa from everyday light.
NEW TIP
Absolutely the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. 😋
The flavours in this burger were simply the best. I added a few chilli flakes for a bit of zing. I would rate it higher than a 5/5 if I could. Pork and Apple are definitely top of the list!
These burgers were lovely and so easy to make, the whole family loved them even the fussy one! I made 8 smaller burgers rather that 4 large ones as we all prefer smaller ones 😋
