Dominos Fakeaway Pepperoni Passion Pizza

Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 packet wholemeal bread mix
  • 350 ml water
  • low calorie cooking spray

Pizza Sauce

  • 1 tin tinned chopped tomatoes
  • 70 g tomato puree
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 1 stick celery chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ dried parsley

Pizza Assembly & Cooking

  • 35 g reduced fat mozzarella or 20g reduced fat cheddar
  • 9 g pepperoni
  • ½ low fat sausage cooked, cut into thin slices
  • 1 tbsp red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp green pepper finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • ½ tsp paprika

Instructions

Pizza Base

  1. Make up to packet instructions and allow 30 mins for the dough to prove. We make up the whole pack then weigh out 65g balls of dough - the ones we don't use we freeze

  2. Roll as thin as you can onto a piece of baking parchment - you may need to spray your rolling pin with low calorie cooking spray to prevent sticking

Tomato Sauce

  1. Throw all ingredients into a pan, bring up to the heat then turn down and simmer for 30 minutes stirring often
  2. Once cooked attack with a stick blender, or blitz in a food processor until smooth
  3. Place into a sterilised jar until ready for use. It will last at least a week in the fridge, or you can freeze it - perfect for batch cooking

Pizza Assembly

  1. After you have rolled out your dough, place the tomato sauce on top and spread it around

  2. Add the onions and peppers, then sprinkle with ⅓ of the mozzarella

  3. Sprinkle the paprika over the cooked, sliced sausage and add the sliced sausage and ½ the pepperoni

  4. Sprinkle on the rest of the cheese - make sure to distribute it evenly, then arrange the remaining pepperoni on top
  5. Place in an oven pre-heated to 200°C for 12 - 15 minutes
