Seekh Kebabs

Ingredients

  • 500 g 5% fat beef mince
  • 1 large onion finely diced
  • 2 tsp garlic granules
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • low calorie cooking spray
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C.

  2. Add the mince, onions, garlic, ginger, coriander, mint, cumin and chilli powder to a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. With clean hands, knead until the mixture is combined.

  3. Line a baking tray with foil and spray with low calorie cooking spray.

  4. Split the mix into 6 and shape long sausages out of it. If you are using skewers you can shape them around these.

  5. Place the kebabs onto the foil, spray the tops with low calorie cooking spray and place into the oven for 10 minutes. Then flip them over and cook on the other side for another 10 minutes.

  6. Serve with an accompaniment of your choice.
