Za’atar Fries

Ingredients

For the fries

  • 2 large potatoes peeled and cut into 1cm fries
  • low calorie cooking spray

For the spice mix

  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C.

  2. Place the fries on an oven tray, spray with low calorie cooking spray and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Cook in the oven for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown.

  3. While the fries are cooking, add the oregano, thyme, salt, pepper and sumac to a mixing bowl and mix well.

  4. When the fries are cooked, toss them in 1 tbsp of the spice mix and check the seasoning. Add more salt and pepper if needed, and serve.
