Ingredients

  • 500 g 5% pork mince
  • 60 g apple, grated
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried onion granules
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp salt
  • low-calorie cooking spray
  • 4 wholemeal rolls — approx. 60g each, sliced in half
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 80 g lettuce, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Add the pork, apple, fennel, oregano, onion, garlic, and salt to a bowl. Mix well with your hands, until everything's fully combined.

  2. Shape into 4 patties and place onto a plate, then leave to rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.

  3. Spray a frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and set on a medium heat. Add the burgers, then fry for 5 minutes on each side — until cooked through.

  4. Spread a little mayonnaise onto each roll and top with the burgers, lettuce and tomato. Serve alone or with an accompaniment of your choice.
