Vegan Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 6 plant-based sausages 300g (10½ oz) total
  • low calorie tortilla wraps
  • 2 tsp dairy-free milk alternative such as soya milk or oat milk
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

  2. Place the tortilla wrap half on the work surface. Cut the whole tortilla wrap in half and place the two halves on the work surface. You should now have three semicircular tortilla wrap pieces.

  3. Brush the first tortilla wrap piece liberally all over with the dairy-free milk alternative. Place two sausages end to end, horizontally along the centre.

  4. Starting at the curved edge, roll up tightly to make one long sausage roll, finishing seam side down. Press down very gently to ensure a good seal along the seam.

  5. Using a large serrated knife, carefully cut the long sausage roll into 4 small sausage rolls about 5 cm in length. Trim the ends to neaten. Repeat with the remaining tortilla wrap pieces and sausages, until you have made 12 sausage rolls in total.

  6. Place the sausage rolls on the lined baking tray and brush with the remaining dairy-free milk alternative. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.

  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the sausages are completely cooked through and the wraps are crisp and golden.
