Falafel Burgers

Ingredients

  • 400 g tin of chickpeas drained
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 12½ g self raising flour
  • tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt flakes to taste
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Rinse and drain a tin of chickpeas and pat dry.

  2. Pour the chickpeas into a food processor. Chop the onion and garlic into large chunks and add to the food processor, along with the chilli powder, ground cumin, salt, coriander and flour.
  3. Blitz until the mixture starts to come together into a ball. Roll into 8 even balls and flatten to make burger shapes - these should be around 1cm thick.
  4. Spray a baking tray with low calorie cooking spray and place the burgers onto the tray. Spray the tops of the burgers and cook in the oven for 25 minutes. Turn after this time, spray again with low calorie cooking spray and cook for a further 15 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and eat while hot! You can also eat these cold with a dip!
