Cut out 12 star shapes out of a melon slice using a 4cm star cutter, and 1 large star using the largest cutter in the pack mentioned above
Take a 25cm polystyrene cone and wrap it in cling film
Insert a wooden skewer into the top of the cone and press it down until it reaches the bottom of the cone
Insert the cocktail sticks into the cone, leaving about ¾ sticking out. Make sure to angle them upwards slightly or the fruit will fall off. You want to leave a 2.5cm gap between each stick
Thread some kale around the cone, between the cocktail sticks, making sure there are no exposed areas of polystyrene
Place the large star on the skewer at the top, then start sticking the rest of the fruit on the cocktail sticks. Continue until all the cocktail sticks have a piece of fruit on them
Place the 'tree' on a serving platter to serve. This will keep for a few hours on a buffet table
