Ingredients

  • 200 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 56 g flora light
  • 6 tbsp granulated sweetener
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 tsp orange extract
  • 1 orange zest only
  • 50 g dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda. Rub in the flora light until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

  2. Add the finely grated zest of one orange, orange extract, granulated sweetener and half of the chocolate chips and mix thoroughly. Mix in the egg to form a ball of dough.

  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out to about 5mm and cut into 42 shapes (we used a 5cm star cutter). Place onto a baking tray lined with parchment and lightly spray with low calorie cooking spray.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes until golden. Leave to cool.
  5. Melt the remaining dark chocolate chips and once the biscuits are cool, drizzle over. Decorate however you like and serve!
