Cheese Palmiers

  • 225 g ready rolled light puff pastry
  • 20 g parmesan
  • ½ tsp paprika


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Lay the puff pastry flat. Finely grate the parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the top with the paprika.
  3. Starting with the top long edge, roll it into the middle, trying to keep it as tight as possible. Roll the bottom edge up to the middle to meet and press the two rolls together a little. Leave in a fridge to chill for 15 minutes.
  4. Once chilled, cut into 32 pieces. Lay each swirl onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, being careful that they don't unravel! With a rolling pin, flatten each biscuit - they layers will press together to form one whole heart shaped piece - they should be around the thickness of a pound coin.
  5. Place in the oven and cook for 13 minutes until golden and crisp. Serve warm with your choice of dip!
