Chestnut and Chocolate Tarts

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp chestnut puree
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sweetener
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp chocolate essence
  • sheets Filo pastry
  • low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Pre heat the oven to 160 degrees. Cut the filo pastry into 32 squares. Spray 16 cups of a mini muffin tin with low calorie cooking spray and use 16 of the squares to line the cups. Respray with low calorie cooking spray and use the remaining 16 squares to add a second layer. Place in the oven and cook for 5 minutes while you prepare the filling.

  2. In a bowl, mix the chestnut puree, cocoa powder, egg, granulated sweetener and chocolate essence. Once the cases are cooked, fill each one with the chocolate chestnut mixture.
  3. Bake for 13 minutes until the filling has just set. Serve warm or cold!
