Chocolate Waffles

Ingredients

  • 40 g oats
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tbsp granulated sweetener or other sweetener to taste
  • 1 tsp chocolate extract optional, but it does make it more chocolatey
  • 1 egg
  • 175 fat free natural yoghurt
  • low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C

  2. Blitz the oats in a food processor until they are quite fine and set aside

  3. Mix all of the ingredients together well and pour it into a waffle mould sprayed with low calorie cooking spray

  4. Bake at 180°C for 25 - 30 minutes or until the waffles are firm to the touch

  5. Turn them out onto a baking tray and cook for a further 4 or 5 minutes
  6. Serve with some fresh fruit and some sweetened, flavoured quark
