Place the orange juice, orange zest, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small saucepan and place over a medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then lower the heat and simmer for 4 - 5 minutes, until the orange zest has softened.
Remove from the heat, set aside and leave to cool.
Arrange the oranges, grapefruit, nectarine, figs, blackberries, raspberries and pomegranate seeds on a large serving dish or serving bowl.
Pour the cooled orange and honey syrup evenly over the fruit salad, along with the softened orange zest.
Sprinkle the pistachio nuts over the top of the fruit salad if wished and serve.
