Syn Free Sweet Chilli Tuna & Mackerel Salad | Slimming World

This Syn Free Sweet Chilli Tuna & Mackerel Salad has to be one of the easiest & fastest salads I’ve ever prepared! Fish from a can, salad from the fridge & balsamic from the cupboard. It also looks very sophisticated, but really isn’t!

Nice day for a salad! The sun is shining, is Spring really here?!?!? Tuna, mackerel, sweet chilli bit of lemon with spinach, peashoots and lettuce. #slimmingworld #slimmingworlduk #slimmingworldusa #slimmingworldfamily #slimmingworldmotivation #slimmingworldmafia #slimmingworldjourney #sw #swuk #swinstagram #healthyeating #weightloss #weightlossjourney #salad #spring #tuna #mackeral

For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff in the blurb 👍

Prefect to eat outside in the sun, summer is just around the corner…..

Top Tip

If you buy your salad in the bag & find it doesn’t last long when opened, just place some kitchen roll in the bag. It’ll keep the leaves nice and dry – you’ll be amazed how long they last!

Of course you can replace the tuna and mackerel with whatever tinned fish you like. Just remember to check the syn values.

  1. Drain the tuna - place into a large bowl. Add the tin of Sweet Chilli Mackerel & mix well with a fork to break up the flakes.
  2. Chop the cucumber & tomatoes - keep the pieces quite chunky. This isn't a shy salad. Add to the bowl with the fish & stir well.
  3. Wash & dry salad leaves. You might want to use salad from a bag - this is fine.
  4. Place the Salad leaves on a plate and dress with Balsamic. Add the fish mix over the top, season with salt & pepper and enjoy!
