Salt and Pepper Chicken
Salt and Pepper Chicken was one of my all-time favourite dishes from our local Chinese takeaway. I was thrilled to find this recipe for Salt and Pepper Chicken and couldn’t wait to try it. I wasn’t disappointed, it’s soooo good!
It’s really easy to make and will be adored by the whole family! Lots of people have made it and shared their results in our Facebook group and on Instagram, too.
Chicken Satay
Chicken Satay…..on a diet?! Don’t be ridiculous! Well, it’s made our Top Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly Fakeaway Recipes list hasn’t it?!
Our Chicken Satay means you can enjoy this dish completely guilt-free as it is only 293 calories!
Our Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly Fakeaway Recipe recipe for Chicken Satay is deliciously peanutty, but it’s really low in calories. We use a powdered peanut butter which drastically reduces the calories in the recipe.
Stir-fried Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion
Next on our Top Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly Fakeaway Recipes list is an absolute classic! Stir-fried Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion is an amazing combination of flavours that just works.
The freshness and crunch of the stir-fried veg complement the tender beef strips perfectly. Served with some basmati rice, this would be a fab Friday feast that’s only 321 calories!
It’s really quick and easy to make, and it’s packed with veg too. You can’t say fairer than that!
Crispy Chilli Beef
This tried and tested recipe for Crispy Chilli Beef is a real treat. We’ve seen other versions that promise to be amazing, but don’t live up to expectation, so we came up with this!
The Crispy Chilli Beef has a really authentic flavour and has been very popular with everyone who’s tried it. If you like Crispy Chilli Beef, what are you waiting for? Give it a try this weekend, served with some Fakeaway Fried Rice.
Sticky Chinese BBQ Pork
With Summer and barbecue season fast approaching, (hopefully!) this is a delicious recipe that would be perfect to cook outdoors!
Our Sticky Chinese BBQ Pork is ideal for cooking on a barbecue, or if you don’t want to wait that long, you can always try it in the oven. Just serve it up with our amazing Salt and Pepper Chips, or your favourite side dishes.
You can also make this recipe using chicken, it tastes just as good.
Salt and Pepper Chips
These Salt and Pepper Chips are simply the best. To be honest, just looking at that photo should be enough to get you salivating, and they taste as good as they look.
You can make these Salt and Pepper Chips in the oven, or in the Actifry! They make a great accompaniment to any of our Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly Fakeaway Recipes.
Of course, you don’t need to have a Chinese meal to enjoy these, they’re pretty amazing with anything!
Diet Coke/Pepsi Max Chicken
When I first heard about this recipe, I was sceptical about it and really wasn’t too sure. Once I’d tasted it, I immediately wished I’d tried it years ago!
Diet Coke/Pepsi Max Chicken is a stir-fry recipe which takes no time at all to make. The sweet and sour flavour is delicious and you can pack loads of vegetables in too. Win/win!
Chinese Chicken and Broccoli
This is one of my firm favourite Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly fakeaway recipes. This Chinese Chicken and Broccoli combines chicken with crunchy vegetables, stir-fried with an authentic tasting sauce for maximum flavour.
I love this dish served with plain boiled basmati rice or cooked dried noodles, to keep it low calorie.

Chicken Korma Curry
If you’re looking for a Korma recipe, you’ve come to the right place!
Traditional Chicken Korma dishes from the local takeaway can contain an eye-watering amount of calories. Ouch!
Our Chicken Korma Curry tastes fab-u-lous and it will keep you well within your calorie range for the day.
Lamb Rogan Josh Curry
Our Lamb Rogan Josh recipe ticks plenty of boxes when you’re looking for a Fakeaway curry.
Once you’ve made the curry paste, you can keep what you don’t use in the fridge in an airtight jar for a few days, or you can freeze it for the next time you fancy a curry.
You can also freeze the curry itself…if there’s any left!
Indian Fried Rice
We’ve all heard of Chinese Fried Rice, but there’s no reason why we can’t have an Indian version.
We came up with Indian Fried Rice to serve alongside one of our fab curries, or to enjoy on its own. You need to try this, it’s deeelish!
It’s really simple to make and you can adjust the spices up or down to suit your own personal tastes. It would be lovely served at a summer barbecue too.
Chicken Balti Curry
We love making this Chicken Balti Curry for a Saturday night Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly fakeaway. Keeping things low calorie means we can have a beer with it, or even treat ourselves to some naan bread.
I usually make some Samosas to serve with this, for an extra treat. At only 147 calories each, they’re the perfect accompaniment!
Chicken Tikka Kebabs
As the days get warmer, you may not necessarily want a filling curry with all the associated extras. Why not try our amazing Chicken Tikka Kebabs instead?
These are great for a packed lunch, served with a basic pilau rice or Indian Fried Rice, or even for a picnic with some salad!
Onion Bhajis
When you have a Fakeaway, it’s important to remember the side dishes too! I’ve already mentioned Samosas, but a curry night isn’t complete without some Onion Bhajis.
These are just delicious, crispy and spicy and so full of flavour. Mix up some fat-free natural yogurt with some mint and a pinch of cumin for an easy-peasy dip. Nom!
We also have a recipe for these yummy Sweet Potato Pakoras.
We have plenty of curry recipes, along with side dishes. You can find them here on the Pinch of Nom website.
KFC Fakeaway
Another favourite Fakeaway option is, of course, KFC. That famous crunchy crumb coating and juicy chicken breast…Winner Winner KFC Fakeaway Dinner. If you’ve missed your KFC fix since starting a slimming diet, give this a try.
This is so popular in our Facebook group. Perfect with our Coleslaw too! Just chuck in some baked beans and a couple of sweetcorn cobettes and you’ve got yourself a full-blown KFC Fakeaway!
KFC Zinger Burgers
Following on from the popularity of our KFC Fakeaway, we decided to take things to the next level with our KFC Zinger Burgers.
These Zinger burgers have an amazing spicy, crispy coating that is just so good! We served them in a Schar Ciabatta roll. Genius! Just add a selection of low-calorie sides to this for a KFC feast!
Sausage Rolls
A branch of Gregg’s has just opened in a newly-built retail park near me, and my instinct is to avoid it completely so that I’m not tempted.
I’ll be making some of these beauties instead, to satisfy my cravings and stay on plan. These Sausage Rolls are made using WeightWatchers Low Fat White Wraps.
Cheese and Onion Pasties
In pre-slimming days, I was easily tempted by a Gregg’s Cheese and Onion Pasty. I don’t have to deny myself that temptation anymore, with our Cheese and Onion Pasties.
Proper comfort food that feels really naughty, but is also 100% on plan.
Corned Beef Pasties
If you don’t fancy a cheese and onion filling, how about these Corned Beef Pasties instead? We used lean, reduced fat corned beef in these pasties. It’s amazing how far it goes!
These are pretty versatile, if you don’t fancy corned beef you can fill them with so many other choices. I’ve used leftover Bolognese, I’ve even done them with leftover Mexican Chilli Beef and it was out-of-this-world!!
Pizza Express Romana La Reine Pizza
We’ve found lots of ways to be inventive using WW wraps. In my opinion, this Pizza Express La Reine pizza is one of the best!
This version has salami and olives, but you can add your favourite toppings to make your own unique pizza. There are lots of healthy food and veg that you can choose from to make yours, including tomatoes, mushrooms, sweetcorn, ham, cooked chicken and peppers etc.
Chicken and Sweetcorn Pizza Calzone
Last, but not least on our Slimming & Weight Watchers Friendly Fakeaway Recipes is our Chicken and Sweetcorn Pizza Calzone.
I love a calzone pizza, but the calories are off the charts! Fortunately, we have the answer with these fab Chicken and Sweetcorn Pizza Calzones.
Obviously, you can switch the recipe to make your own calzone pizza, using a meat or vegetable filling to suit your tastes.
If you want to go all out restaurant-style with this, smother with Bolognese or a homemade tomato and veg sauce.
