Beef Kofta Kebabs

Ingredients

  • 500 g 5% fat lean minced beef
  • 1 medium onion very finely chopped
  • 1 handful fresh parsley very finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic very finely chopped
  • 1 cm ginger very finely chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground allspice
  • 1 egg
  • low calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients, except the egg, into a non-reactive bowl and mix well.

  2. Crack in the egg and mix well to combine.

  3. Take a small handful of the mixture and form into a sausage.

  4. Thread the skewer through the sausage and place on a tray. Once you've done them all, place in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  5. Heat your BBQ or oven to 180°C.

  6. Spray your kebabs with low calorie cooking spray and place in the BBQ or oven for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
