Turkey, brie and cranberry sauce are all often leftover after Christmas, but our Christmas Calzone transforms them into something really delicious that you’d never guess had been made from leftovers.

If you don’t like turkey or haven’t got any cooked turkey to hand, then you could also make this Christmas Calzone using chicken, bacon or ham – just make sure that whichever meat you choose is cooked before you add it to your Calzone!

How many calories are in this Christmas Calzone?

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Take a wrap and spread the tomato puree and cranberry sauce over it, leaving a 1cm gap around the edge.

Lay the sliced turkey and brie over half of the wrap, making sure to leave the 1cm gap free. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Brush beaten egg around the edge of the wrap on the gap.

Fold the wrap in half and press down around the edge. Crimp the edges using the back of a fork, then place on a baking tray sprayed with low calorie cooking spray. Brush the outside of the calzone with beaten egg.

Bake at 200°C for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

How do you know when this Christmas Calzone is cooked?

You’ll need to bake your Christmas Calzone for 10 to 15 minutes or until the outside is golden brown.

Standard advice here in the UK is to cook food until it has reached 70°C and stayed at that temperature for 2 minutes. This is to keep your family safe.

How long can I keep this Christmas Calzone in the fridge?

Once you’ve put it out, ideally you should eat it within 4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 1 low calorie tortilla wrap
  • 100 g cooked turkey breast sliced
  • 30 g brie diced
  • 2 tsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 medium egg beaten
  • low calorie cooking spray
  • salt and pepper to taste
