What do I need to make these Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs?

These ones are particularly good as they are flat, and therefore easier to turn over as the meat won’t slip round (speaking from experience, I can assure you!)
If you choose to use the bamboo barbecue skewers just make sure to soak them in water for a while first to prevent them from burning in the barbecue or oven.

How many Syns are in this Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs?
These Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs are, as the name suggests, Syn Free! It tastes just as good as the version from the Indian restaurant, but without all the fat, calories and Syns!
To ensure these Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs remain Syn Free, you’ll need to make sure you use a Tandoori seasoning which is Syn Free. There are several available in the supermarkets, but just check before you buy!
You’ll also need to make sure you cut off any visible fat or skin from the chicken. You could use chicken breasts instead of thigh fillets, but the thigh fillets are really tasty and juicy, and hold the flavour of the Tandoori well.
If you do use chicken breasts, you may need to adjust the cooking times.
You can make these Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs as spicy or mild as you like – just add extra chilli powder for more of a kick!
These Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs are not suitable for Extra Easy SP as the recipe contains yoghurt.
Can I freeze these Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs?
This recipe can be frozen, but please remember to do the following;
– Freeze it as soon as it is cold enough
– Use a container or bag that is suitable for freezing.
– Defrost thoroughly before reheating.
Make sure it’s piping hot before serving!
How do I make these Syn Free Chicken Tandoori Kebabs?
Place all of the ingredients, except the chicken into a bowl and mix.
Dice the chicken thighs into large chunks, ensuring that any visible fat or skin have been removed. Place into the yoghurt marinade, cover and chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours.
Remove from the fridge. Place the chicken onto skewers (metal or bamboo, just remember to soak bamboo skewers in water to prevent them from burning).
Place onto a hot barbecue for around 30-35 minutes until the chicken has cooked through.
If you prefer to cook these in the oven, skewer the meat as above, and place into an oven preheated to 180ºC for 35-40 minutes until cooked through.
Once cooked, serve with your choice of accompaniment!
