Please make sure to double or triple check all of your ingredients if you’re cooking for people with allergies.
Breakfasts without dairy don’t have to be any less creamy or satisfying. Our Coconut Banana and Maple Porridge recipe is just as rich and warming as the dairy alternative, and it’s only 269 calories per sweet bowlful. Topped with toasted coconut, fresh bananas and a drizzle of maple syrup, we promise this one will have you jumping out of bed!
By using non-dairy coconut milk instead of full-fat dairy, we’ve introduced nutty flavours to each portion and lowered the calories. How can you say no?
Our Marmite Mushrooms on Toast is a hugely popular recipe that you’re far more likely to love than hate. To keep things light and dairy-free, use a non-dairy cream cheese alternative for your homemade mushroom sauce. It’ll be just as packed with the all-important savoury Marmite taste to wake you up with a bang!
How do you like your eggs in the morning? We like to pop a warming, runny fried egg at the heart of our homely Breakfast Bakes recipe. With gooey baked beans, nutritious mushrooms, protein-filled bacon chunks and a melty, cheese topping, you’ve got everything you need to fuel you right through to lunchtime. Swap out the reduced-fat grated cheddar for a non-dairy alternative of your liking, and your brekkie will be so satisfying without a hint of lactose involved. Winner!
Looking for a midday pick-me-up that’ll curb your cravings until it’s time for dinner? With our slimming-friendly Steak Bakes, you can enjoy all the flavours of a shop-bought, meat-filled snack, without the traditional calories from dairy-based, buttery pastries. Our oniony, lean minced-meat filling is placed inside sandwich thins, so we’ve kept things nice and light without losing out on satisfying crispiness. How’s that for dairy-free deliciousness?
You can’t beat the convenience of having a hearty, homemade batch of soup ready and waiting to be enjoyed. Our Minestrone Soup is a reliable warmer that’ll keep nicely until you’re ready for it. Easy to make, convenient to store and brilliant for your budget, it’ll fast become a soup flask staple. You can make sure it’s dairy-free in a flash by replacing the finishing sprinkle of Parmesan with a Parmesan-style cheese alternative.
We’ve added countless nutritious veggies to our version (potatoes, peas, courgettes, carrots and beans – to name just a few!), but you can chuck in any leftover veggies you’ve got lying around. The final result will be just as full of tomatoey, garlicky goodness…Crusty bread roll at the ready!
Loaded with high-calorie coconut milk, oil and peanut butter, satay recipes aren’t typically the most slimming friendly out there – even if they are usually a dairy-free delight! That’s why we had to add a Pinch of Nom twist to our Chicken Satay Skewers recipe. By using Alpro coconut drink and peanut butter powder, we’ve given our skewers a nutty, satay coating you’ll be itching to open your tupperware for. At only 38 calories per skewer, why not?
If our nutty skewers leave you wanting more, you can always eat them up for dinner too. Serve them with a side of Indian Fried Rice for a dairy-free plateful of simple yet fragrant flavours that even fussy eaters will appreciate. The Indian-inspired spice combo is the star of the show here, so even if you have to use a different combination of chopped veggies – don’t worry! It’ll still be a five-star Fakeaway night.
Having a reliable set of recipes where no one notices the difference is a lifesaver when you’re cooking for a variety of dietary requirements. For dairy-free diets, you can’t get a midweek dinner much tastier than our aromatic Thai-Style Pork Curry. Just as full of Massaman-inspired flavour whether it’s cooked up in a pan, pressure cooker or slow cooker, this rich and satisfying fusion dish will leave everyone round the table wanting seconds (and maybe even thirds).
Fancy turning up the heat? Our Chilli Meatball Orzo puts a spicy spin on a combination of two dinnertime classics. With risotto-like orzo, lean chilli con carne meatballs and plenty of veggies, this one’s so tasty, you won’t need to sprinkle cheese on top! Even if you’d rather go easy on the chilli flakes, you’ll still be left with a proper filling, family meal.
If you can’t say no to a batch-cook dream like us, you need to get a load of this one after a few days in the freezer; it’s even better after the flavours have had a good few days to mingle!
Is there anything more comforting than tomatoey, garlicky, herby goodness? Another family treat that’s super simple to put together, our Mushroom Bolognese is a crowd-pleaser that’s so flavoursome you won’t be missing the Parmesan. By swapping out minced meat for versatile mushrooms, we’ve lowered the calories to a teeny tiny 119 calories per portion.
Psst! That leaves more than enough room in your calorie budget for a side of Cheesy Garlic Bread (just be sure to swap out the cheddar for a non-dairy alternative). Bon appetit!
While desserts often come loaded with cream or milk, we’ve got some options for you that either dodge the dairy from the get-go, or that you can make dairy-free with a simple swap. Our Biscoff Mousse combines fat-free Greek yoghurt with light double cream, but you can easily change them up for a couple of equally rich and light non-dairy alternatives. With crushed Biscoff crumbs sprinkled on top for a malty, crunchy finish to each bite, it’s well worth making a swap or two!
By using a perfect combo of frozen banana and dairy-free dark chocolate, our Peanut Butter and Banana Ice Cream is a dairy-free dream. The perfect use for brown, soft bananas that have seen better days, you can make the most of leftovers and treat your sweet tooth for only 215 calories per bowlful. Don’t mind if we do!
If you’re after a dairy-free bite you can dunk in a cuppa, our Jaffa Cakes have you covered. For 33 calories per orange-filled, chocolate-drizzled, spongey delight, the only difficult part is not eating more than one. When the dark choc’s melted down and drizzled on top of each cake, you’ll know it’s time to get the kettle on.
If that’s not enough for you, we’ve got even more slimming-friendly, dairy-free recipes here!
