We know that it may be tempting to pick up some garlic granules or ground garlic from your local supermarket, but there really is nothing that beats the flavour of fresh garlic!
Garlic is sooo easy to prepare and it’s well worth taking the extra minute or so to chop up a fresh clove or two. Trust us, once you’ve tried cooking with fresh garlic you’ll never go back!!
How many calories are in garlic?
As a rough idea, garlic has around 4 calories per clove.
This is only an approximate value however and it will obviously vary based on the size of your cloves!
Why not try using your freshly prepared garlic to make our Garlic Mushroom Risotto?
Or you could also use it for our Cheesy Garlic Bread!
Trust us when we say you’ll never use garlic granules again!
Can you freeze garlic?

If you do choose to freeze it then please remember to use a container or bag that is suitable for freezing – you could even try using an ice cube tray to freeze it in handy little portions!
