Mongolian Crispy Lamb

Whatever else is on the menu for your next Chinese-inspired fakeaway night, this Mongolian Crispy Lamb deserves pride of place on the table. The fragrant lamb is roasted in the oven and finished under the grill, until it’s satisfyingly crisp.

This one is all about the crunch, so we’ve loaded the aromatic meat into Little Gem lettuce cups, with shredded cucumber and spring onions to create the perfect bite. Each portion works out at 294 calories, but if you don’t mind adding a few more, we recommend a drizzle of shop-bought plum or hoisin sauce right before serving.

Pesto Roast Potatoes

You haven’t lived until you’ve tried these Pesto Roast Potatoes. There’s no denying that a golden roastie in any form is a real treat, but by adding pesto we reckon we’ve created something really special.

The herby pesto gives these spuds a powerful flavour boost, with a final drizzle of lemon juice to add a little extra zing. We’d recommend using a floury potato for this recipe, to ensure the crispiest outside and fluffiest centre.

They go with just about anything, including adding a herby twist to your usual Sunday roast!

Chocolate Sponge Pudding

If you’re in need of a new dessert idea, we’ve got three words for you: Chocolate Sponge Pudding. Despite being so low in calories, this old-school sweet treat delivers on intense chocolatey indulgence.

Deceptively simple to make, you probably already have a lot of the ingredients you’ll need in your kitchen cupboards. If that’s not enough to convince you that this recipe is easy-peasy, there’s a microwave method for the times when you simply can’t wait for it to bake in the oven! You’ll find the recipe steps for the Microwave Chocolate Sponge Pudding right here

Creamy Marmite Chicken

Feast your eyes on this Creamy Marmite Chicken. As good as it looks, believe us when we say it tastes even better! If you’ve tried and love our Marmite Mushrooms on Toast recipe, this one is guaranteed to be a winner.

Succulent chicken breasts and sliced mushrooms are simmered in a velvety, creamy sauce, with Marmite melted in to give the whole dish a really rich, savoury flavour. If you’re unsure about using Marmite, you can take it easy at first and only add half the amount. Give it a taste once it’s finished cooking, and add more if it needs it!

Lamb Pasanda

Aromatic and topped with toasted almonds, this Lamb Pasanda is too good to miss. Mild to medium-spicy, it’s a family-friendly crowd-pleaser for your next fakeaway night. Lamb isn’t known for being particularly slimming friendly, but if you choose a lean cut and remove any visible fat, it makes for a nice change from chicken.

Ready on a schedule that suits you, we’ve included 3 different cooking methods for this dish, so you can choose whether to cook it in the oven, in the slow cooker or in your Instant Pot when you need a tasty curry in a hurry!

Breakfast Loaded Fries

How do you make a fry-up even better? By adding chips, of course! These Breakfast Loaded Fries are genius – if we do say so ourselves. Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner: there are no rules when these are on the menu.

Best of all, everything is cooked on one baking tray, so you can enjoy a full English-style brekkie without the piles of washing up afterwards. If this is the dream, don’t miss our Air Fryer Full English or this Breakfast Traybake (they’re one-pot wonders too!).

Vegetarian Thai-Style Green Curry

Fresh, crunchy veggies steal the scene in this easy-to-make Vegetarian Thai-Style Green Curry. By making our own curry paste, we’ve kept the calories nice and low, without making the recipe or the ingredients list too complicated. It also puts you in charge of the chillies – so you can make this recipe as fiery or mild as you like.

The curry paste brings bags of flavour, coating all those delicious vegetables in a creamy, fragrant, coconutty sauce. You’ll want to serve with some fluffy rice to help you soak up every last bit.

Hasselback Potato and Bacon Bake

Stop what you’re doing and make this Hasselback Potato and Bacon Bake immediately! Once you’ve seen the photos (and the easy-peasy ingredients list) we’re sure you won’t need much convincing to work this into next week’s meal plan.

Hasselback is the name for the way that the potatoes are sliced very thinly across the top, but not all the way through. This helps them to crisp up really nicely in the oven, while soaking up all the glorious flavours of the creamy, garlicky sauce we’ve baked them in.

Topped with reduced-fat Cheddar and diced bacon medallions, this is almost too tasty to be a side dish. Good news though – there are only 153 calories in each serving!
