OGGS Aquafaba Egg Substitute – 18 cal per 100ml
Love baking but not sure what to use as a substitute for eggs?
OGGS’ new Aquafaba Egg Substitute is the solution!
Each carton of OGGS Aquafaba Egg Substitute contains the equivalent of 4 eggs and is made from liquid chickpea extract which means that it’s suitable for vegans and anyone with an egg allergy.
Although we haven’t given baking a go with this product yet, there are lots of fantastic reviews!

We think they’re delicious with low fat spreadable cheese and topped with a dollop of Red Pepper or Spinach and Pesto Hummus.
At only 40 calories per cake, you can mix and match toppings and pop them in your lunchbox for a fuss-free lunch in minutes!
We’ve spotted these Kallo Spinach & Pesto Veggie Cakes at Sainsbury’s and Waitrose priced at around £2.50 per pack.
Morrisons No Added Sugar Appleade – 2 calories per glass
Sugar free fizzy drinks are perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth without compromising on calories, and we love this new Morrisons No Added Sugar Appleade.
It’s a refreshing alternative to the usual choices, and you could even enjoy it instead of cider if you’re looking to cut down on alcohol a little!
A 2-litre bottle of Morrisons No Added Sugar Appleade is only 50p.
Loma Linda Spicy Pad Thai With Konjac Noodles – 139 cal per ½ pouch
Vegan, gluten free and low fat, Loma Linda makes microwave meals but not as you know them!
Packed full of plant based protein and ready in just 2 minutes, Loma Linda Spicy Pad Thai with Konjac Noodles features really filling noodles and delicious, authentic Asian spices.
These pouches are perfect for a speedy lunch or dinner when you’re low on time and also come in three other tasty flavours.

Jackfruit is a really popular substitute for meat these days due to its texture and how it can be “pulled” like pork.
In fact, the lovely Vicky Pattison joined us on our podcast to use it in a hearty Vegan Campfire Stew!
This Baxters Plant Based Jackfruit, Three Bean and Chipotle Chilli is gluten free, vegan AND 3 of your 5 a day.
Plus it’s only 201 calories for the entire tin, so it’s ideal for a quick low-fat lunch.
A tin of Baxters Plant Based Jackfruit, Three Bean and Chipotle Chilli is available at Sainsbury’s for £1.55.
Covent Garden Soup Co. Smoked Haddock Chowder – 154 cal per ½ carton
We love batch cooking because it means that we always have a delicious meal prepped and ready to go.
That said, we’re always on the lookout for quick and easy, low calorie options that we can turn to in a pinch!
Covent Garden Soup Co.’s new Smoked Haddock Chowder is packed full of chunky smoked haddock in a creamy, herby sauce and the best part is that it’s low in fat and just 154 calories per ½ carton serving.
It’s DELICIOUS served with some of our crusty Fougasse Bread to soak up all of that tasty sauce!
We’ve seen this Covent Garden Soup Co. Smoked Haddock Chowder soup in Waitrose, Tesco, Ocado and Sainsburys for around £2 per carton.
Gu Light Puds – 150-157 cal per pudding
Super light and deliciously fruity, these Gu Light puds are just the thing when you fancy something a bit more refreshing for dessert.
Light, silky cheesecake and crunchy biscuit crumbs on top of a juicy fruit compote – now that sounds like something we can get behind!
These Gu Light puds come in Mango, Madarin and Passion Fruit, as well as a Lemon and Blueberry flavour and are 157 and 150 calories per pud respectively.
You can grab these Gu Light puds from Asda or Sainsburys at £3.30 for two.
Alpro Hazelnut UHT Drink 1L – 29 calories per 100ml
With a deliciously nutty flavour, and lower in calories than even skimmed milk, this Alpro Hazelnut UHT Drink makes a cracking hot chocolate!
It’s also a refreshing change over cereal and in porridge or Rice Pudding, but still full of vitamins and calcium.
Because it’s UHT, it’s so handy to have in the cupboard for milk emergencies!
You can find this Alpro Hazelnut UHT Drink in the longlife milk section as most supermarkets, and it’s currently on offer at 3 for £3.50 at Morrisons.
Muller Light Chocolate Fix Belgian Chocolate Desserts – 95 cal per pot
The lovely Rachael Newton let us know about these over on our Facebook Group and they’re one of our new fave sweet treats!
These tasty Muller Light desserts come in three flavours, Belgian Chocolate, Belgian Chocolate and Caramel and Belgian Chocolate and Mint and come in at between 69 and 97 calories per pot.
Perfect for satisfying that pesky sweet tooth without loads of unnecessary calories, you can find these in Asda at £1.50 for a pack of 4.
Bernard Matthews Turkey Twizzlers in Original Tangy Tomato and Chilli Cheese – 87 cal per twizzler
OH. EM. GEE. Yes, they’re baaaack!
There’s a special place in our heart for Turkey Twizzlers and we are SO excited that they’re back in stores again.
The upgraded Turkey Twizzlers come in Original Tangy Tomato and new Chilli Cheese and come in at just 87 calories per twizzler – the original twizzlers were 137 calories each!
They’re now 70% turkey meat and are lower in salt, fat and sugar than the original version.
We can’t wait to serve these Turkey Twizzlers up for tea alongside some mixed veg and our Parmentier Potatoes or Homemade Oven Chips.
At the moment these Turkey Twizzlers are only available in Iceland at £3 for a box of 8, but they’ll be rolling out to the other major supermarkets really soon!
Can’t get hold of Turkey Twizzlers at the moment, but still fancy something quick and easy for dinner? Our Chicken Goujons are soo easy to make and are delish with some chips and a light salad!
