These Low Syn Boonanas are another great idea for Halloween nibbles. Quick and easy to prepare so the kids can make these too!
For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff in the blurb 👍
You’ll notice we haven’t stated a syn value for these as it will depend on how you decide to decorate them. We used plain chocolate chips which are 6 syns for 25g, but, you’re only using a very small amount on each of these Low Syn Boonanas so you would have to weigh your chocolate chips before melting them, then divide that total number of syns by however many Boonanas you have made.
I made 4 Boonanas and only used a few grams of chocolate chips, so all four would work out at less than 1 syn each.
Of course you could could used something other than chocolate to make the faces. Dried fruit for example. Whichever way you decide to decorate these, don’t forget to syn them accordingly. As always, it’s up to you and you alone to decide if you want to syn the decoration.
You can use whatever flavour yogurt you want for these. You can make lots of different flavours and colours, the choice is yours. We chose Fat Free Natural Yogurt flavour with a bit of syn free vanilla syrup.
