It’s a bit more interesting than Chicken, but it’s something usually associated with Hoisin sauce, or sweet sauces, which, sadly are chocablock with syns which makes me very sad. Why waste syns on a salad?!
Summer is on it’s way, so we’ve started thinking about Salads. Salads don’t have to be boring, no no no!
This one is pretty fruity, as duck is one of those meats that goes really well with fruit. In there we have Orange segments, Grapes and Pomegranate seeds, a lovely fresh salad which takes no time at all to prepare.
No need to take the skin off the Duck or indeed cut it up! They’re Gressingham mini Duck fillets so the skin is removed already – and are often on the 3 for £10 offer at the supermarket.
If you’re using normal duck breasts you’ll have to remove the skin and slice them into strips.
Cook them for 3 minutes on each side in a hot frying pan, then for the last minute put in the Sweet Chilli sauce. Bingo! A super low syn exciting salad on the Slimming World Extra Easy plan!
Blue Dragon Sweet Light Sweet Chilli Sauce is 1 Syn per tablespoon, so this Super Low Syn Sweet Chilli Duck Salad With Orange and Pomegranate works out at 0.25 Syns a portion, but let’s round it up to half to be on the safe side.
