Put a new spin on Lasagne and roll it! This one doesn’t star any Béchamel sauce – because that would add syns, and too many syns are bad… right? This Syn Free Bolognese Rotolo is packed with flavour and kind of like Cannelloni on steroids. It’s nowhere near traditional Rotolo, but it will do for us following Slimming World.

It’s one of those dishes that will impress a crowd, it also takes a little longer than a lasagne to assemble, but it’s worth it.
You can use Beef or Turkey mince or even do a vegetarian version with spinach and quark (recipe coming soon).
Before I came across this recipe, I’d never heard of a rotolo (although it’s fun to say!). But it’s basically a smaller version of cannelloni that’s turned upright and then baked.
The best part about baking it this way is the crunchy browned cheese on top ???? Talking of cheese, this feeds four people and you only use one healthy extra A’s worth of cheese.
Lets chat about the great syn debate of fresh pasta – the choice is yours. Sometimes, we make our own (with no oil) and do not Syn it, but you can cook some dry sheets and use those if you prefer.
