These Sesame Tofu Sticks with Peanut Sauce are your new-favourite snack! If you’ve never tried tofu or bean curd before, it’s a great source of meat-free protein to work with in the kitchen. To make our tofu strips extra tasty, we’ve coated them in an Asian-style marinade and used sesame seeds to give them a gorgeous crunch.

To keep the calories lower without compromising on flavour, we’ve used peanut butter powder to give our dish its moreish nuttiness. You should be able to find B2B Peanut Butter Powder on Amazon, or it’s available at some supermarkets and health food stores.

The trick with tofu is to make sure you drain it well before cooking. Our recipe walks you through how to get the best from your tofu strips (it’ll take around half an hour to properly dry them out). Be sure to handle tofu carefully while cooking – you don’t want your sticks to crumble!

Since you can never overdo peanut flavours, we’ve glazed our sesame-coated sticks in a punchy marinade and set aside satay-style sauce for dipping.
