How to cook a jacket potato in the oven
It’s really easy to cook jacket potatoes in the oven and, although it takes a little longer doing it this way than in the microwave, the crispy skin more than makes up for the weight!

Yes you can freeze jacket potatoes! Make sure to defrost thoroughly before heating.

You can keep jacket potatoes in a container with a lid in the fridge for around 3 days or so – great for a quick dinner if you’re short on time!

- 1 medium Potato
- Topping of your choice
Instructions
- Place your potato on a baking tray and prick the skin all over with a fork - mind your fingers!
- Pop into an oven at 190°C for 90 minutes
- Take your potato out of the oven and use a sharp knife to very carefully cut a cross on the top. Take care during this step as the potato will be very hot!
- Squeeze the sides of the potato to open it up.
- Fill with your favourite topping!
