Our Chicken Tandoori Kebabs are packed full of flavour and are so simple to make. Just pop everything into a bowl, leave it all to marinade and then stick onto a skewer to cook!
These kebabs can be served in so many ways and are perfect with rice, in a flatbread, as part of a salad or in a pitta or wrap. You can make your Chicken Tandoori Kebabs as spicy or mild as you like – just add some extra chilli powder for more of a kick!

You’ll need some Tandoori Spice mix for this recipe. The Tesco Tandoori Curry Powder is great for this recipe.
You can also use the East End Tandoori Masala Powder! You can pick them both up from the supermarket, or over on Amazon! Do note that they can vary in their nutritional values so make sure you double check whichever one you use.
To make these Chicken Tandoori Kebabs you’ll need some kebab skewers which you can pick up from Amazon. These ones are particularly good as they are flat, and therefore easier to turn over as the meat won’t slip round (speaking from experience, we can assure you!).
If you choose to use some bamboo barbecue skewers, then just make sure to soak them in water for a while first to prevent them from burning on the barbecue or in the oven.

Step 1
Place all of the ingredients, except the chicken into a bowl and mix.

Dice the chicken thighs into large chunks, ensuring that any visible fat or skin have been removed. Place into the yoghurt marinade, cover and chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours.
Step 3
Remove from the fridge. Place the chicken onto skewers (metal or bamboo, just remember to soak bamboo skewers in water to prevent them from burning). Place onto a hot barbecue for around 30-35 minutes until the chicken has cooked through.
Step 4
If you prefer to cook these in the oven, skewer the meat as above, and place into an oven preheated to 180ºC for 35-40 minutes until cooked through.
