Recipes With Five Ingredients or Less
After a long, hard day at work, the last thing you want to do is dig out loads of ingredients and spend ages prepping and cooking to pull together a really complex dinner.
With our guide to delicious and easy meals with less than five, yes FIVE ingredients, you don’t have to!
We’ve not included store cupboard herbs, spices and low calorie cooking spray in the five ingredient limit, as most of us will already have these in.
No longer will your shopping list be so long it that it trails behind you in the supermarket, and you can enjoy fresh and tasty food that’s slimming friendly without the fuss.
BACON, ONION AND POTATO BAKE
An absolutely legendary recipe in our Facebook group, we love how easy this Bacon, Onion and Potato Bake is.
Layer it up, pop in the oven and then enjoy the aroma while it roasts away and you get on with your day.
It could NOT be simpler, and chances are that you already have what you need to give this one a go!
Be sure to add some greens like our Marmite Sprouts for a healthy, hearty dinner.

Using a handful of store cupboard staples, we’re certain this one will become a family favourite in no time.
It’s even great for lunch the next day tossed in a salad.
Serve alongside Oven Chips or in warm pittas for an easy Friday fakeaway.
HASH BROWN PIZZA
Hot, fresh pizza is one of life’s pleasures but unfortunately, it is usually the first thing to go when embarking on a healthier lifestyle.
Now, every night can be pizza night with our Hash Brown Pizza.

LEMON DRIZZLE CAKE
If you want a simple, sweet, lemony treat then our Lemon Drizzle Cake is simply the zest! (get it?!)
It’s hard to believe you can make this with only FOUR ingredients, so you can sit down and enjoy a slice with your cuppa feeling pretty smug.
You could even add a dollop of lemon yoghurt if you’re feeling extra fancy.
If you have a few more ingredients to play with, our Mini Lemon Curd Cakes and Chocolate Brownies are also a hit.
Although our KFC Fakeaway *technically* has a few more than five ingredients due to the spice mix, most of them are store cupboard staples, and it’s SO WORTH IT.
As an extra bonus, the recipe makes plenty of spice mix so you can pop it in an airtight container for next time.
Get your KFC fix alongside a tub of Coleslaw and Savoury Rice.
TOAD IN THE HOLE
You can’t beat a Sunday roast, but if you don’t have hours to spare prepping (or washing up!) then try our classic Toad in the Hole as an alternative.
You still get your Yorkshire fix but with simple ingredients that you can count on one hand, although we don’t recommend trying to hold them all at once!
