For these simple homemade bakes, we've said goodbye to pastry and lowered the calories with sandwich thins. Far better for you and your budget than bakery-bought versions, you'll only need a super-short list of ingredients to rustle up these bakes. For our gooey centre, we've filled our 'pastry' with a heavenly combo of reduced-fat Cheddar and onion, and baked it in the air fryer until golden. Tuck into them as a grab-and-go snack, or plate them up with a side of chips for a hearty midweek dinner!

Leave the bakes to cool on a wire rack rather than in the air fryer, otherwise the bases may become soggy.

NEW TIP
Plenty of filling and lovely with a crunchy salad

‘Quick and so easy even my 10 year old made them for our lunch. Taste beaut following the recipe but so versatile you can add what you like (adjusting your calories accordingly of course)’
