This KFC Zinger Burger Fakeaway is JUST like the real thing, and so simple to make.

You can also change the spice mix to suit your taste – if you prefer some extra zing then add some extra chilli powder!

Ensure the chicken breasts are dry. Dust lightly with the cornflour. Break the egg into a dish and dip each chicken breast into it.

Step 3

Put the chicken breasts onto the baking tray and sprinkle over the spice and dorito mix, ensuring both sides of the chicken is coated thoroughly. Spray liberally with Low Calorie Cooking Spray and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.

Step 4

After 25 minutes, turn the chicken and spray with Low Calorie Cooking Spray again. Bake for a further 15 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked through and golden.

Step 5

Serve with your choice of garnish!

I made these this eve, and although lovely I found the topping to be really soggy? Any suggestions on what I have done wrong 🙁

    Hi Sheryl,

    It sounds like your oven might not have been hot enough. If you place them on some baking paper on the baking tray, this can help to get them crispy too – Hope that helps!
