When we think of Christmas treats, we start thinking of mince pies, spiced fruit and the aroma of warming cinnamon and mincemeat. With our delicious Mini Spiced Orange Mince Pie Crumbles, we have covered all bases!
We’ve made some slimming substitutions such as using a low fat tortilla wrap in place of pastry. This may sound strange, but the wrap creates a pastry-like barrier that’s firm enough to hold but without the lashings of butter and sugar! We’ve used wraps before in recipes ranging from savoury Ham and Mushroom Calzones to sweet Apple Turnovers as they are also super convenient with minimal fuss.
By swapping some of the flour for oats, we’ve also reduced the calories without compromising on crunch! Packed full of delicious festive flavours, these Mini Spiced Mince Pie Crumbles are the perfect pick-me-up alongside a cuppa or Christmas tipple.
We love a low fat dessert that feels indulgent, especially at this time of year. If you love the festive flavours in this recipe, try our Mini Spiced Christmas Apple Pies:

Do you need any special ingredients to make Mini Spiced Orange Mince Pie Crumbles?
Brown granulated sweetener is used in this recipe. Powdered sweetener often doesn’t give the same texture and can leave an artificial aftertaste, so we’d recommend using granulated sweetener. It’s ideal when you need that particular ‘crunch’, and it’s as close to real brown sugar as you can get.
The other ingredients are all widely available in local supermarkets, and you probably already have some of them in the cupboard!
